For those fans looking for "the silver lining" let me provide this tidbit. While Denver certainly is not having a stellar season and is scraping and scratching in an effort to secure home ice for the first round of the NCHC playoffs please consider the following. Denver's final three regular season series will be played against teams currently in sixth [Western], seventh[CC] and eighth[Miami] place in the NCHC. If Denver can't find a way to secure home ice with this fortuitous bit of scheduling it doesn't deserve home ice.

Wouldn't be a hockey road trip unless we ran into Jay in the hotel bar and had a drink with him. Heck of a win by the Pios!

I can't believe how flat slow and sloppy the mavs were tonight. Time for Dean to retire. Denver's backup goalie did a good job given how much he has played. He looked pretty relaxed. Did anyone see one of our players whack a Denver player up side the head and the refs didn't call it?

He didn't hit him. Missed by 6-8 inches. However the rule says it should be a penalty just for swinging, but they would've also had to get one for embellishment. Rumor has it though the officials didn't get a very good review from the league tonight.

Thanks. I was sitting on the other side of the ice and too far away to see. I wonder how for Sam Brittain will make it in the pros. He seems to be pretty good.

Coach Lassonde guesting for Monty on the Jim Montgomery show on 102.3 espn tonight, with QShore. Reminds me of the press conference scene in "Miracle" , when the geeky reporter kept trying to get an angle on a story and crack Coach Brooks' shell, by hacking away at Coach Patrick lol

Hey, it's not like Putin spent fifty gazillionteen dollars to host the Olympics, only to have his team eliminated from medal contention in the most highly anticipated event of the two week festival, while people in the gay bars in Sochi are raising mock toasts to him. Oh wait, it's exactly like that. :D

So Comrade Vlad, ya gonna root for the red, white and blue to win the gold?

North Dakota, UMass, Quinnipiac, Army and now Cornell--guess those former DU recruits were thought well of by others.:confused: :(

(Not including Chatham to the OHL as that was reported as a strong possibility before Gwoz left.)
