Re: All Things Denver XXXVI

My guess is that they used a roster that didn't have Marcinew on it.
Wouldn't you think that if you write articles about the hockey team, you might have some knowledge of the team or ask someone who knows or if all else fails at least the ability to read the website ? :o

78, you are being too kind. The story was written today and Marcinew has been on the roster for several weeks.

Isles/Devils game with Mayfield being streamed live on Islanders website. Go to nhl.com and click on Isles logo at top to get to their website.

Per Isles Twitter game is only available in NY market and blacked out everywhere else. Isles lead 4-3 after 2

NHL Network has Ottawa vs Toronto--Wiercioch vs Colborne.
Opinion between periods--Colborne will get every opportunity to make the team. Randy Carlyle likes him. (Playing with VanRiemsdyk and Carlton tonight)
Wiercioch has an assist in the 1-0 game at the end of first. Looked good from the little I saw. Colborne 1-1 on faceoffs in the short time I saw.

Similarly you think about a decade after sh*t-canning the jelly donut as our official logo, we'd get the g.d. thing out of our locker room and our arena. [sound of a toe tapping] And every ignorant TV camera person evidently looks for the few remaining exemplars of that former logo to photograph.

And we never play our Alma Mater, either. "Oh, Chr*st, there he goes again!"

I agree with you, poor editing.

Patty with an assist on Ottawa's goal, Ott up 1-0

Well it's not as bad as the Yahoo Sports profile of Nick 'Vick' Shore. College 'not applicable'... :D

Re: All Things Denver XXXVI

Nice article, I expect Beau to be on one of the Pens top two lines this season.

DU Hockey Media Day is Tuesday September 24th at Noon in Magness. Coach Montgomery and Seniors Sam Brittain and David Makowski will be at the press conference. It will be broadcast live on Pioneer Vision at www.denverpioneers.com.

FYI, Patrick Mullen is in the Vancouver Canucks camp and is slated for their AHL team. He played in their game against the Oilers a few night's ago and unfortunately had to leave with an undisclosed injury. He was injured for all but 2 games last season.

Patrick Wiercioch was the 2nd Star last night with 2 assists and a +2.
He had many compliments from the play by play announcers and the studio guys between periods. They even did a montage of his good passes. Sens coach also commented on his passing prowess.

Go Patrick!

With the Sens having gotten rid of Sergei Gonchar, Patrick is now manning the point of the #1 PP, something he did very well at DU. Hopefully, he can stay from injuries which slowed his development.

Here are my guesses as to what ex-DU players will play in the NHL this season.

Stastny - Avs
Carle - TB
Bozak - TOR
Wiercioch - OTT
D. Shore - FL
Zucker - MN
Donovan - NYI
Colborne - TOR
Bennett - PIT

Players who may get some NHL time but likely to be in AHL

Mayfield - NYI
N. Shore - LAK

There are a slew of ex-players signed to minor league contracts or are playing in Europe. It is doubtful any of those will play in the NHL this year.

Nick Shore just scored to make it 2-1 LA very early in the game.
