Re: All Things Denver XXXVI

Thanks, Split-N. You beat me to it.

You might have added that in educational circles, the Forbes college survey enjoys the same disrespect that Forbes Magazine has earned for itself in financial circles.

Additionally, NU had approximately 48,000 applications for 2800 places in the freshman class entering in September and that the median SAT scores of those enrolling was between 1375 and 1390.

Let's just say that both schools rank in the U.S. News top 100, and that each has a lot to be proud of.:)

Let's just say you all are dorks. Jerk off about NU on your own farking thread, please.

Re: All Things Denver XXXVI

Northeastern always shows badly on the Forbes rankings because undergrad education at Northeastern is based on the cooperative education system, which tacks on a 5th undergrad year in order to integrate actual experience in business, industry, and the professions with classroom study and research after Freshman year. Forbes measures only four-year graduation rates, which would include only the minority of the NU undergrad student body that opted to bypass the co-op program.

A better and more widely recognized measure is the US News and World Report National University Rankings, in which NU is #56 and DU is #83.

Yeah and that plus hay creates bovine flatulence.

Re: All Things Denver XXXVI

Are you trying to impress us with your education?

We were politely responding to Vizoroo's modest insult. Must you insert your rudeness into every conversation!?

You've done it. Now please go away. Besides, you don't want to miss "It's a Small World After All" night at the dorm.

But, since she likes Forbes so much:

AFA > DU
CC > DU

Even
CU > DU

And from a Forbes special report: bovine flatulence > OP

Carry on, Jackalopes...

Another loser. You refer often to your VCR of "Up With People," don't you? Better Jackalopes than dipsh*ts.

Re: All Things Denver XXXVI

I see the USA and Canadian Women's Olympic teams are evidently going to be doing another Sochi warm-up tour like they did last time. The game at Ralph Englstad Arena is booked, with others to be announced. I wonder if DU will again host them?

Re: All Things Denver XXXVI

It's called priming the pump. Sort of the same principle as your Accu-Jac.

Hmmm...Accu-Jac. Is that the gadget used to help with aiming at DU mascots? ;)

Today is July 28, 2013.

70 Days Until DU's Next Game

October 6 against New Brunswick

Re: All Things Denver XXXVI

DU officially adds Neville, Romig and Ogard to the frosh class. That brings the official class to 9. Wade Bennett is still appearing on the roster, maybe he is un-retiring. Roster stands at 24 with Wade. Only question marks are Ray Pigozzi and Landon Smith. FYI, Landon Smith is listed on Scott McConnell's Chicago Steel team's roster for this coming season.

Nice article on Drew Shore and his upcoming season.

Rhett Rakhshani already in Sweden, but with a new team, Vaxjo Lakers. He'll be playing with Ryan Lasch, formerly of St Cloud State and Colby Armstrong who played for the Leafs last year.

New team for Andrew Thomas--Orli Znojmo (Austria)

Re: All Things Denver XXXVI

I hope it works out for Bennett. Lets be honest - If this "return" (of sorts), was happening on Gwoz' watch, I think there would be some degree of "we owe him a roster spot" or maybe some entitlement per se. Jim seems to have made it a point already, before the first practice, that every single guy better produce every minute of every day, or he simply will not be playing. Now I'm not saying Gwoz was really any different.... but it just puts a different spin on it - atleast that's the way I feel. Also interesting that Wade moved from defense to forward. My old lady and I saw him in the stands during a game last year and Olkinuora actually introduced her to him; seems like a nice kid..... now it's time to work. Good luck to him!

Think when Bennett was originally recruited he came in as "F/D" could play either. Hope he stays healthy.

as of today :
7 on Defense
14 Forwards
3 Goalies

2 seniors
8 juniors
5 sophomores
9 freshmen

Where is Ray Pigozzi?
