Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

Are you trying to bait me? It's going to take more than that bro...

My prediction is that one way or another DU will no longer be alone in first place by the end of the night. ;-)

Your prognostication skills are on par with karl rove. A Nate Silver, you are not... ...

Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

Wait a minute, I thought everybody knew all the smart people lived in the Northeast!!! Look at the electoral college map! (whoops, did I say that out loud?)

Colorado did the correct thing as well and went BLUE... :)

As always, including gay Chris, DU fans and alumna looking for a hand out from the Ted Nugents of America! DG excluded since his family produces jobs for America. Thank you DG!!

Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

How is it that CC is off to a great start?? I thought they lost all their good players!! When are they going back to the basement where they belong?
Colorado College is heading towards the "Fiscal Cliff." Last year their Freshman Class set a new record for ineptitude by not scoring a goal all season. A third of the way through this season Sophmores Charlie Taft was two goals & Aaron Harsdad has one goal to rank 9th & tied for 10th on the team in goals respectively.

Freshman Hunter Fejes has the only goal for this year's Freshman class to tie for 10th on the team.

We are about to end a golden era of CC ineptitude. :-)

Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

A quick request from a DU fan in the hinterlands of Upper Michigan. Where is the best place to get any real-time info on DU games? I gathered from some earlier posts that there is no longer an option to purchase a streaming webcast, is that correct? (Not that I would frequent same anyway, our web server is pretty neandertal.) Was disappointed to find out that Root Denver (which I get here on DirecTV) is only carrying 6 games this year, and it's looking like NBC SN is going to focus more on east coast games and play to their usual base. USCHO is AWFUL on game night at providing updates. ESPN U site marginally better (sometimes). Suggestions, friends???

7-1 is a nice start...some of those results appear to be rabbit-out-of-the-hat wins. But still, perhaps a good sign that this team is playing with enough team resilience and maybe less of the big star ego thing to win the tough ones. No one is an easy out in the WCHA. And my early surmise is that no one in the country is run-away good this year. The teams with best mettle may well be the ones still standing come late March/early April. The view from out here is that the CCHA, in its final year, is also very balanced and could be very loaded with FF-caliber teams. Miami, WMU both look to be upper echelon as they get ready for the Nacho next year. UM and Sparty as well...and Ferris always does a lot with a little, Daniels very undervalued nationally as a top coach. They could be dangerous again. Flamin' Irish (ugh!) also look to have a strong team. Looking forward to seeing more live games at Michigan D-1 venues this year as the NHL takes a hiatus and perhaps deservedly puts their product in cold storage for awhile. A pox on all houses there for doing a lousy job resolving their issues. Again. Wish there were more D-1 options on the national tube. Disappointing that there were none to be found this weekend anywhere on the cable/satellite dial. Excepting the NESN pickup of the SCS-NoDak game.

You should join the i-have-no-life-on-Friday-and-Saturday-nights-gang. Go to the "score updates" thread and stay posted by reading the comments from fellow DU posters. There are about 5 regulars that keep us posted real time. It's pretty entertaining. DU78 has a goal light and everything.

A lot of DU home games are webcast on Pioneer Vision at www.denverpioneers.com. Here is the DU schedule indicating all of the DU TV and webcast broadcasts.

PioneerVision is still alive and streams all DU home games that Are Not picked up by a tv networ. See below for definitive DU schedule posted by du78

National TV schedule:

@DU_Hockey had game updates for Mankato games. Might be a source for road games.

'78, is DU doing the live chats this year? I didn't see a live stats link for the Kato games. Who would be doing them now that Bacher is gone?

Absolutely. There are losers and uber-losers, of which I am proudly one. We do our best to provide accurate, timely (no help from Jay) and occasionally witty observations of DU games. Two out of three ain't bad.

Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

I love this line from the Mankato paper about last night:

"The Mavericks finished 2 for 9 on the power play and gave Denver just two opportunities with the man advantage, killing off both penalties."

D*mn generous of Mankato, don't you think, to "give" the Pioneers "two opportunities" on the PP? I suppose we should be grateful the imbalance wasn't even more lopsided.

The article also features whining by Hastings about the Doremus goal and sarcastic observations about a "rut" which "must" have caused the Maverick player to spin around and cough it up. Loser talk.

@du78 How are things out there? You get power back yet?

Sorry, don't feel like going back through the pages to find out!:D

Well, hello my obtuse little friend!

I would expect nothing less than the dull generalization you just put forth. Personally, my business is stockpiled with Made in the USA equipment, aside from a few Chinese-made (mostly Apple) and a couple German-made bits and pieces.

I hold my own and am not interested in some hack named nugent who is trying to regain whatever relevance he may have had from decades ago.

But, hey, carry on...I find you amusing... :)

Not that I know of. I know @DU_Hockey is providing live commentary on Twitter.

Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

Its seems like a year if not more since it was a topic here. But has anyone heard anything on the contract negotiations between du and gwozdeky?
