Albany Regional Weekend

I heard fans were getting on the RIT students for standing up during the game. Honestly if it wasnt for them the RIT QU game would have had no atmosphere at all. Im so glad they brought the energy and all of their cheers they had a bunch of them
I figured since there were a couple QU and non RIT fans in the corner section right next to the one that was designated for the Corner Crew. Bad spot for them but then again nobody gives people that information which is dumb. I literally didn't find out the specific RIT sections until the day I got my tickets I literally was the one letting everyone know on Facebook and Twitter what section corner crew was sitting in. They need to probably make it clear which school is sitting where on the ticketmaster site to try and avoid this issue. Because I understand that we are blocking their view but no one will ever just throw us behind the goal to make sure we won't block anyone's view

The NCAA does give tickets to each school for sale by the school. This may have been a better place for the Corner Crew to get tickets. I haven't been to NCAA games there since Clarkson beat SCSU then lost to Michigan in 2008 (I think, my memory is getting poor) but I've never heard of them having a problem with the student section standing at the TUC. Heck, Cornell's student section does it for the whole game and they were a regular guest at the ECAC tournament the entire time it was in Albany.

That's exactly what the CC did, AFAIK. They were standing in the first several rows of one of the sections offered for sale by RIT.

Well that stinks. Maybe they could have planned better and put them at the back of a section? I'm guessing that the tickets behind them were either sellbacks or tickets not in the compliment for RIT. I had a similar experience at UNH for the Women's Frozen Four. I was standing and cheering the Clarkson introductions when a lady behind me muttered "I suppose he's going to stand for the whole game." I almost did just out of spite.

I bought tickets for a Cornell game once at Lynah and knew I was in the student section. There's no way I would ever complain about students showing their support for their team.

I believe it wasn't people behind them complaining, but in an adjacent section.

Correct I believe it was the people in section 123 and 124 in the bottom 4 rows right along the glass. They were all non-RIT people that had their view obstructed by Corner Crew while we were standing. Everyone above those rows were RIT fans.
