Alaska Anchorage @ Minnesota 10/30/09-11/1/09

Re: Alaska Anchorage @ Minnesota 10/30/09-11/1/09

I just have three words for my Wolves. WIN. EVERY. SHIFT.

Any word on Bariball's condition?

Sounds like he and Fairchild are both nursing injuries but were back at practice last this week.

Re: Alaska Anchorage @ Minnesota 10/30/09-11/1/09

One thing I've always thought that coaches should say to their players is this:

"You can't shoot it low"

Seems to me like all of these players try and pick the corners all the time and, as a result, miss the net a ton. It seems like low shots on net with rebound opportunities would result in more goals than rushes with one shot that is high and wide and the puck careens right out of the zone.

I like this idea as well, but unless someone finally gets the stones to go to the top of the crease, it won't do jack.

True, but doesn't he mean they can shoot it low?

I think the number one thing the whole WCHA has gotten better at is blocking shots. Maybe we see the ones that are high and 3' wide left/right so much because all the others are blocked.

His condition of holding the stick too tight has spread to the rest of the Gopher team.

Thank you for the daily link to Gopher articles. I don't know what I would do without you. You are a true dedicated gopher fan to provide us with each and every link.

I feel the same way about Happy's dedication to the Sioux program!

The Sully is ALWAYS dead. I've lived in both places and Alaska hockey fans are a joke. The marriucci might not be what it has been with the slow start, but I've never seen the Sullivan arena "raucous" ever! And that goes for Aces playoff games too. I suppose the Sully seems rowdy to ignorant people born and raised in Alaska that just don't know any better.

How condescending can you get? Good grief. All Alaskans are idiots? Your reponse doesn't even warrant a response, except to say you are probably a 12 year old whipper snapper who never experienced the Sully when they had standing room only crowds. Nuff said.

Thanks Scooby. I thought White was injured as well?

Hmmm....probably just a minor thing. I'm pretty sure he'll play although they have players on the bench and who gets to play and who doesn't is certainly up in the air until the lineups are announced.

LOL, I just now noticed the "glass is bone dry" in your sig line. I laughed right out loud, not at your team, but at you. You're so funny.

That's true, but typically the polls (this time of year) are pretty useless. I didn't mean to pick on UM, but it really did stand out in my mind when I looked at the updated poll yesterday. Any other teams that are ranked which shouldn't be? UAA splits with the #2 team, and gets 0 votes? Hmmmmm.

I only provide links to current sue player arrests and court dates.

Greetings UAA fans from mariucci arena! Warmups just started! Weird seeing anchorage play against someone other than UAA. But should be a fun game! Go gophers! :D
