Cornwall, planning on coming out? It'll be our homecoming weekend and it should be still a rather nice weekend for weather.

There were snow flurries that weekend last year. I remember because I was there for career fair.

It is my intention to make those games! If I could make the games in Mankato where the high temp was 7, and it was down to -10 by the time I got back to my friend's place in Lanesboro, MN, this trip sounds like a breeze(just none when I cross the bridge please)
The good news was that i was able to fit in a PhD at the University of Okoboji after getting accepted. =]

Should be an interesting addition. Likely because of his size, he'll play fourth-line minutes, maybe take Steve Mele's place as the younger Mele brother moves up to the second line.

If I had to guess at line combinations now...and this is ONLY a guess, nothing nearly approaching official, just how I'd fill them out if I was coach.

Last season, it was usually Simicek, Primiani, and Olson who were the odd men out, and I expect that if the other two new freshmen come into the lineup, it'd be those players they'd replace. They've (meaning Simicek, Primiani, and Olson) all got talent, it's just a matter of having more bodies than spaces in the lineup, and finding a way to use their skill sets. Particularly with Olson that was the case, he's a good offensive defenseman but we had four of those ahead of him on the depth chart and only one (Little) graduated.

Weird, but the 2/3 and 2/4 games vs Holy Cross have been changed with respect to times. The @Holy Cross game on Friday is now 7pm and the Saturday game @ AIC is now 3pm

Why does AIC always do all their signings late (right before the season starts)? When do they take to the ice and will they finally get out of the basement? Strange team. Some talent that can surprise a good opponent and then bad losses.

Could be a couple reasons:
1. Recruiting budget - don't know how much they have, maybe they don't have much and have to be creative.
2. Recruits waiting on a better offer. They are a bottom feeder in the worst league in the NCAA. The recruits may be hoping to get offers from better teams.

When you are a bottom feeder, it's hard to get out. Unless AIC gets a great goalie that can steal a bunch of wins, they will probably remain a bottom team.

I don't get it. Budget constraints or not, there are a lot of kids willing to go anywhere to play D-1. Most of the places they get players from require more travel than hitting the EJHL in their own backyard and even Prep. Just seems like their late recruiting is part of some strategy and it hasn't worked. There is some talent there and who knows with some luck they win the games they should and make a move. Good luck to AIC.

Just a friendly request - Can whoever is coming up to Tech to watch the games stop by your locker room and grab a hand full of jerseys? Bring them with to the UP and several of us will be standing by with cash in hand ready to buy.

Not sure if AIC offers scholarships or not, but if your choices are one of the consistantly worst teams in DI or playing for a top D III team, it's an interesting decision. On the one hand D I is D I, but if you go to a team like Norwich in D III that are consistantly a top team there that you have a chance to win a championship, it's a tough choice.

You might want to be more specific since AIC is playing series at two colleges whose fans call themselves Tech -- MTU and CCT. :D
