Jason Heyward won a spot on the Braves out of Spring Training (according to the AJC). woot! Now that pick doesn't seem like a waste, although it was a mid to late round grab.

Oh and I finally renewed my MLB.TV today, so it's game on! :D

Creampuffs v Victoria Phillies is a total slugfest today. Lots of Hits, Runs, HR and Total Bases.

I'm hopeful King Felix can deliver me some innings tonight and help my ERA problems.

Looks like 4 teams didn't reach the pitching threshold in week 1.

Yeah, I missed it by one inning, because I didn't change my Sunday lineup, and didn't wake up in time. Oh well, there's a whole season left to go.

I may have gone out on a limb with some of my pitcher selections, but it seems like they are paying off, so far (knock on wood)

This week:
Monday: J. Duchsherer 7.1 IP, 2 hits, 0 ER
Wednesday: D. Price 7.0 IP, 4 hits, 1 ER
Today: F. Liriano 7.0 IP, 4 hits, 0 ER

Hopefully Phil Hughes can keep up this good run of outings. Then its on to my 2 "aces" Johan Santana and Scott Baker.

edit: in other news, Mijares sucks, and is going to be dumped, shortly

Yes, but due to injuries and my closers' teams either kicking too much butt or sucking butt, I fell short of the innings needed, by 1 inning. :mad:

Don't worry, I'll make the playoffs. ;)

Brent: RE your trade offer, I think I need a bat in order to give up the player you want, and I'm not exactly interested in the reliever you offered me. :p

A little tidbit on any trade offers I make. First one is always just throwing something out there, and expecting a counter. "Opening talks" is the term, I believe.

I know you need relievers, and if I get a starter from you, I'd expect you to want a starter back. But if you don't, then fine by me. So I guess make me an offer. That's cool. :)

It wasn't that far out of whack, according to what I heard, until yesterday's games (made the offer before the games). :o

Pitchers with the lowest ERA/WHIP on my team - Mariano Rivera and Tyler Clippard. Highest ERA? Trevor Hoffman. :eek:
