#6 Boston College at #3 Clarkson -- 2014 NCAA Quarterfinal: Eagles Invade PotsVegas

Sergi's Pizza Rolls are another highly recommended option! But they will clog the arteries right up. We called them "Fat Bags" but if you ever tried to order them with that name, the little old lady that owns it would drag you out by your ear. I'm not exaggerated in the least bit on this either, my friend was a little drunk one night and not even thinking, ordered a "Fat Bag" and she screamed at him, grabbed him and dragged him out of the restaurant. Good times in the Madstop!

I've called them "fat bags" more than once and haven't been kicked out of Sergi's. The guy who answers the phone and says "Sergi's, whatta ya want?" couldn't care less. The pizza rolls are definitely an acquired taste but good at 2:30am when you're drunk. I actually think Josie's are better but they don't stay open as late.

One other place I didn't mention was The Bagelry. It probably has the biggest selection of bagels and bagel sandwiches that I've seen outside of NYC. I always stop there before the trip home and grab some stuff to go.

Heads up for those traveling. Winter still in full swing up here.

They are calling for a foot of snow in Potsdam, more further south in the Lake Placid-Lake George Corridor for those coming up from Boston/CT.

Most of it should be over by Friday, but the storm is followed by another few days of deep freeze temps.

It snowed on my graduation day in Mid May. This shouldn't be surprising.

What year did you Graduate Fire? We had snow during our Senior week but then it was 60 the day of Graduation. I was class of 2011. Graduated with Lauren Dahm. And was there for a year to see the great Leggio play for the Men, back when they were good. Although Casey Jones is really turning them around.

I was going to suggest this, too (and it is great, owned by former NYC folks, which is why), but someone told me it closed up recently. They said the owners retired and didn't sell the business.

For the best subs anywhere, go to Jreck's. Do NOT eat Subway up there. Jreck's rules!

They still have a Facebook page, and as of January, they were hiring.

Walking home from 'downtown' that 'za roll stuffed in your coat @ 2am was the only thing keeping you warm when it was -30F.

I do remember that we had a good dump of snow on Mothers Day, 1995, would have been around May 12th that year.

A place I always enjoy is the Cactus Grill & Cantina (just off Market St.). Fairly good mexican food and not that expensive. I love mexican food, and I would rate it on the higher end of "I Like" scale.

I graduated in 1996. I got home from working at the bar at around 3:30 am the day before my graduation. Woke up to the alarm the next morning and the radio announcing the processional had been canceled. I went back to sleep, woke up an hour later, and found an inch of snow on the ground.

Well, all these posts are making me wish I had time for more than one meal in PotsVegas. Oh well. Thanks for all the info! I'm shocked Hux hasn't chimed in yet, this is all right up his alley.

Any update on Ambrose?

Hux probably has not found his way into Potsdam yet, otherwise I'm sure he'd chime in. I think the old "best eats near campus threads" is long gone.
