#5 Maine vs #4Merrimack HEA quarterfinals

Re: #5 Maine vs #4Merrimack HEA quarterfinals

ME lost, move on. Diamond was every bit as dirty as any player in league, more so than anyone on MC. Bigos tries to skate around and play like he did in juniors, which is to bad. It accomplishes nothing and will hurt them as they move forward. Surprised MD hasn't stopped it. Can not afford to be in the box vs BC, not for one extra shift.

In the end, ME's top players getting dragged into it helped MC. Nyquist watching more than one PP from box is awin/win for MC. And it was...

Hoky...he was talking about UND...cool your jets there champ

Re: #5 Maine vs #4Merrimack HEA quarterfinals

I don't want to sound like a sore loser here but since you called me out: I would not use the term "flat out better" to describe a 5-game set in which neither team lost at home, the margin was 3-2 and the goal differential totaled 19-18.

Your third line had an awesome weekend. Congrats. Cannata for Hobey.

You can try breaking this down into the head to head matchups all you'd like but at the end of the day, PWR/RPI/polls, and every other measure seemed to indicate that Merrimack was indeed a "flat out better" team than Lake Superior State East by a rather significant margin.

Shocking I tells ya that one of the best home teams in the league won at home in a matchup in which they had the better goaltender and the better coach as well. SHOCKING!!!!!!!!! I should have listened to that dope GusforHobey who said it was a 100% lock for a LSSU East sweep because LSSU East was a hotter team and Merrimack was trending down. The good news is that he probably won't be around anymore (hopefully) so one less dope here is a good thing.

I for one enjoyed hoky's posts replying to himself this morning.

Testing 1, 2, 3 testing

hope you had a safe ride home to capehart

see you there

Agreed. SD is still not 100% but getting better every game. Will be ready come NCAA's and probably closer at HE final 4. Big weekend for MC to show that they are not a one horse team and for others to step up.

They could peak exactly right
