Hey all you New Hampshire people will like this. Politico's list of all the best states:

http://www.politico.com/magazine/st...ur-union-are-not-all-strong-102547.html?hp=f2

8 out of 10 Obama states for the best. For the worst? 9 out of 10 for Mittens/McCain.

As noted in the report, the writers couldn't identify New Hampshire on the map. But their connection of the party of the sitting governor to the results is a winner...surprised they didn't conclude if the Governors changed parties, the results would flip.

Something that conservative posters on all message boards never understand. People like Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Levin, etc get paid a lot of money to sound like idiots. To the best of my knowledge Flaggy is being paid nothing to perform this same service, so I'm not sure why cons who aren't being paid to do so are willing to post stupidity in their own name.
Flaggy is his name? I thought it was some anonymous handle on a hockey message board. The fact you get excited about his drivel is kind of humorous

I wonder if those links could be classified as spam...

I'd be quick to object - he's not advertising a product. I know he's putting his opinion out there, and no matter how much we might think he's off his rocker, I'd say he should be able to in this type of thread.

Different things excite different people. What can I say?

Just as soon as you admit the moon landing was faked, 9/11 was an inside job and George HW Bush killed Kennedy.

The moon landing was faked, that was proven. Bush didn't kill Kennedy, it was Malcolm Wallace. As for 9/11, there were some obvious botches there.

A link to anything using the word "chemtrail" tells me you absolutely, positively, cannot be serious. Please?

No SOTU Talk last night?

Wow.

This was my favorite thing from the SOTU last night.

http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/grimm-reporter-ill-break-you-half

Congressman tells reporter he'll break him in half. Perfect.

And throw him off a balcony! Are there any happy knuckledraggers out there or are you all bitter cranks?

Didn't watch the speech as I wasn't expecting anything new from the Prez or the 15 separate GOP rebuttals. Looks like Grimm had the most noteworthy one though. ;) I have to say I'm happy to see Rand Paul out there doing his thing. His kinda crazy is just what the GOP needs in its nominee in 2016. :D

Well, I didn't see it the way Flaggy did. Of course I actually see the checks and balances happening in our government and not the fascist dictatorship that the right sees just because Obama is President.

Re: 2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

SOTU is only interesting to hardcore political junkies. Non-event. But, sounds like Obama is once again planning to abuse executive orders to sidetrack having Congress play a role on various issues.

Same thing was happening with Bush 43.

Errrr..........what?

So, what issues exactly can't Congress play a role? They've decided to check themselves out of the process. As far as Executive orders last count I saw had Obama neck and neck with Bush II as far as how many of them they've issued. Either way if Obama crosses the line the Congress and the Media will be right there to snap him back.

Apocalyptic warnings sell to the dwindling number of sheep who still listen to them. Funny how none of these same people were too concerned with Bush's signing statements, Patriot Act, desire to imprison American citizens on a whim, etc. :D And they wonder why GOP approval is approaching single digits....

But were I writing his speech, it would have the following succinct themes for the next couple of years:

1) Get the $#%& out of Afghanistan.
2) Keep up the robust implementation of Obamacare, now up to 13M people as of mid January with much more to come.
3) Have Congress debate minimum wage hike the week before Election Day.

Really that ought to do it. Now that the Republicans have waived the white flag on the budget and the debt limit, that nonsense has been defeated. Immigration is a win-win for the Dems. Either it passes and they get credit, or it doesn't and Hispanics go from voting 2-1 for Dems to 9-1.

Re: 2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

I love how Grover still thinks there's a difference between the two major parties, because there isn't. They both want the same goals of absolute power. To support one over the other is like saying one door to the slaughterhouse is better than the other. Regardless of door, you go in living and come out dead.
