I like it. Put out a tweet that everybody knows is true (check out some conservative comments as of late), let it linger for a bit, then issue an apology. Point made!

Funny how the Iraq Thingy doesn't seem to bother some folks.
Maybe the fewer the Americans killed through incompetence... the worse?
Oh yeah, and old man, how about some new material? Still with the "Skillets?"![]()
I know Fox has had issues with getting some (a lot) of politically charged facts correct over the years, but have they ever gone out of their way to make accusations of racial bigotry directed at an entire political party? I don't watch the station, but I will pass by the website once a day to see if anything catches my eye, like this one did.
It's not surprising really, but MSNBC can't do anything right.

The apologetic tweet read, "Earlier, this account tweeted an offensive line about the new Cheerios ad. We deeply regret it. It does not reflect the position of msnbc."
The story goes on to a number of statements made by MSNBC that have equated being a Republican, some specifically mentioned, to being a bigot. That's a great news network they have there.
The original point.
Your point being that 'Fox is not that bad'?
'This president, I think, has exposed himself over and over again as a guy who has a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture… I’m not saying he doesn’t like white people, I’m saying he has a problem. This guy is, I believe, a racist.'
To congressman Keith Ellingson: ‘Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies.'
We can play this game all day long.
Is that even a new commercial? It's been around for a year or so now. Of course, when it did first start showing there were a bunch of online comments against it, but those were isolated *******s and not part of any specific party or grouping.
The commercial is about two months old. The article mentioned that Cheerio's said it would air during the Super Bowl, which probably caused MSNBC to spout off like they did.
LOLZ
You really gonna go there? Change the word "choice" with "life" and you've pegged every evangelical in this country... you know... values voters.
Difference between your generalization and mine is that mine is actually true.
I don't watch Fox, so I can't say. I certainly don't hear about them going after all lefties as being (insert bigoted comment).
I think/hope you're being facetious, but to take the words of a few loud-mouthed morons and apply it to an entire base is a bit ridiculous.
I am to some extent, however the problem on the right isn't contained to a few loud-mouthed morons. Of the GOP House, over half are Talibanesque social conservatives, which is why talk about libidos and rape victims not getting pregnant keep happening over and over and over again. I have to assume that these people represent their constituents faithfully, and these voters approve of these stances their reps are taking. You personally might not like that (not sure of your leanings on this) but as I often tell rigthies when we have these dicussions, this is no longer your father's Republican party and the sooner the normal people who make up the minority of the conservative base realize that, the better off you're going to be.
I guess I see it as an old bell curve. I don't think the overall mode has shifted, but the mean may have shifted further right. I honestly believe this.
Your guess is as good as mine. My thinking on the GOP is that the Tea Party types are going to pull a Little Ralphie Nader and try to go 3rd party more often, only to find that all they're doing is helping to elect more Dems, at which time they'll return to the fold and try to act a little less crazy. The problem is with another Nader-like debacle to scare people straight, you don't often get a glaring example of this cutting off your nose to spite your face phenomenon that whiny liberals were forced to confront after the 2000 election.
Disagree on all counts. This is the cycle we get a Tea Party nominee for President of the United States and it will the Republican Party that nominates this person.Your guess is as good as mine. Interesting. I personally have no idea where the GOP is going. Hell we might even end up with Jeb Bush, which would undoubtably trigger a Teabagger 3rd party bid. Same thing would happen if Christie was the nominee, which I've stated before Bridgegate happened was a slim possibility.
