2nd Term Part 4: Donkeys, Elephants, and Porcupines

Re: 2nd Term Part 4: Donkeys, Elephants, and Porcupines

So, with all that this administration has been doing, I keep wondering why outfits such as Fox Snooze, one of the UK papers (I want to say Daily Mail but can't remember if it was another one), ESPN, and the like are trying to keep people focused on football players, basketball players, and what celebrities are wearing. Then, I read excerpt snippets from a recently recovered diary of a teenage young woman living in Germany during WWII. Unlike Anne Frank, she was one of the pacified citizens. We'd refer to them today as "sheeple". Perhaps we need to learn from this why people need to be informed. It may be too late, though.

Oh please Opie. Congressional knuckledraggers would kill for an approval rating within 20 points of the O. Lets just say those of us in the Rover Brigade aren't too worried. ;)

You think a third term is going to happen or something?

Quite the opposite but you bring up a good point, which is Opie and his fellow knucks' seem to be fighting the last battle instead of the next one. Obama is no longer on the ballot, and Congress' own unpopularity is going to determine who does and doesn't win in the mid-terms.

Its sorta like how conservatives will tell you all day long that they've disavowed George W Bush, but the minute something comes along to cast him in a better light its takes them about a nanosecond to post it.

yup, conservatives are the only ones that fight the last battle. libs have been campaigning against Bush for the last 16 years...it hasn't stopped yet.

Congress overall might have a low approval rating but tell me where individual congressman and senators have an approval below Obama? It's pretty rare.

He's like Monty Python's Black Knight: "'tis but a scratch."

Well then someone should tell him! Maybe once he finds out, he might finally stop campaigning!

Possibly the next time a US consulate is overrun by Islamist film critics armed with AKs and mortars, he could focus on that, rather than the next fund raiser.

Liberals raise W no more than conservatives who can't stop talking about him; see post above. But there isn't really a comparison. Iraq buried more Americans than 9/11. And the administration left with millions wiped out, gdp in reverse, and the country in a deep tax revenue hole. When the Dems leave that kind of carnage, let's discuss.

Reap what you sow.

And Little Dick is the answer? The economy's really humming now, isn't it, Bunky? Maybe what we need is another trillion dollar "stimulus" program, for all of those "shovel ready jobs."

Would there have been enough R votes to invade Iraq if all D's had voted no?

Didn't Jeff Flake say his approval ratings were lower than Satan or something like that? I'd also throw out Kelly Ayotte who needs to start sending resumes to K Street lobbying firms now as she's going to be out of a job shortly after the 2016 elections.

BTW, I have to laugh at knuckledraggers when they whine about us @ sskicking libs bringing up the worst President of all time, GWB, who's terrible run in office is still being dealt with only 4+ short years after he left the WH. How many times have we heard the name "Jimmy Carter" during the last campaign, a man who left office 32 years earlier. Really, you have to be as old as Old Pio to remember the guy's Presidency in full. You idiots gave us Bush, and now you get to own him. Maybe by the 2040 elections we'll stop bringing him up. :D
