2nd Term Part 4: Donkeys, Elephants, and Porcupines

Re: 2nd Term Part 4: Donkeys, Elephants, and Porcupines

Didn't Jeff Flake say his approval ratings were lower than Satan or something like that? I'd also throw out Kelly Ayotte who needs to start sending resumes to K Street lobbying firms now as she's going to be out of a job shortly after the 2016 elections.

BTW, I have to laugh at knuckledraggers when they whine about us @ sskicking libs bringing up the worst President of all time, GWB, who's terrible run in office is still being dealt with only 4+ short years after he left the WH. How many times have we heard the name "Jimmy Carter" during the last campaign, a man who left office 32 years earlier. Really, you have to be as old as Old Pio to remember the guy's Presidency in full. You idiots gave us Bush, and now you get to own him. Maybe by the 2040 elections we'll stop bringing him up. :D

One is being used as a historical example to learn from. The other is being used as a crutch for doing awful. Big difference.

Ah, young naive Flaggy. You still want to live in a world where the cons get to play by different rules than the libs. Sorry, but that went out with the 80's. You're going to be carrying Bush II around your neck for a long, loooong time. In fact, people like Opie will have to live until age 120 (or put another way, another 30 years from his current age :D) until the stench of GWB is wiped clean from the populace. Longer for the relatives of the soldiers he needlessly sent to an early grave. And if you complain about it, sarcastic but truth telling libs (like myself ;)) will just point out how many times Carter was mentioned in a campaign that took place 3 decades after he's left office. The main difference is though, few Dems are trying to rewrite Carter's Presidency as he was clearly in over his head. ALL conservatives are dying for Shrub's rehabilitation, despite all of your denials. :D

Nice to see The War on Women is still in full force on the right. People think I'm kidding when I say modern day conservatism is made up of 1) Old people, and 2) People who aren't getting laid. But, when you look at the laws the GOP is trying to pass, tell me I'm not on to something? ;)

Yup, abortion is about a war on women, not a war for children who can't fight for themselves...thats the ticket.

That looks like an impressive and diverse group of Republicans ready to lead the party forward.

Maybe not.

Yes I'm sure that's their motivation. Funny though when the people voting for abortion restrictions are the ones who are paying for their wives and mistresses to have abortions. Is it too much to ask that these altruistic Republican congressman actually not participate in the activity they want to ban (DesJarlais, Barr), or is that too complex of a concept for you conservative head to process?

I DON'T CARE! Politicians are scum, that doesn't mean I don't want those scum to support my beliefs? I've never paid anyone to have an abortion nor would I. I'm done with this thread because you're just full of ****. I'm sick and tired of you telling me I shouldn't support a politician because he's scum. Go find me a politician who isn't scum? Please, find ONE. To want to be a politician you pretty much have to have something wrong with you. Obviously every conservative on the planet secretly wants abortions for everyone and only supports ending it because liberals created it...its all just a game. F you. I'm done.

This is about protecting the poor defenseless "job creators" certainly not a war on women. Those benevolent Rethuglicans.

Especially considering the huff-and-puffer legislators are the most egregious offenders of differences in pay between genders. I'm all for gender equality, despite what you might think. I look forward to seeing women toting around their draft cards. Or do you want to remain damsels in distress so that you can continue to mooch more off of guys in acts that would be considered and insult to society or even abusive if the roles were reversed?

It would be funnier yet if they bought the photo, then painted the brown onto a bunch of the faces by Photoshop... which still wouldn't surprise me.
Kidding aside, we did the same thing when I was involved with marketing. It's MUCH quicker and easier to buy a stock photo than to go through all the hassle of arranging a "real" picture of what are bound to be far less appealing people, or hire a bunch of actors, etc. This is actually a good textbook use of a stock photo.

Don't do that. Rover's got a technique: always attack, always argue tu quoque, always change the subject, always make it personal. He's sort of an idiot savant in that regard. He's apparently only capable of making a serious argument when the sheriff is closing in on Little Dick. Then he's all "let's discuss this intelligently." It's occasionally amusing but has a very short shelf life. Your best bet is to ignore him. I, for one, would miss your contributions.

Yeah...it's clear you don't hate women...

You still think I'm a female apparently with your reps regarding my free contraceptives, damsel in distress references. Very perceptive. Tell me genius...what guys am I mooching off of?

During photo ops in JJ's two campaigns for president, if the mixture wasn't quite right, you'd hear some handler shouting "diversity." Which was JJ campaign speak for "go find some white guys."

A few years ago a DU publication had a nice picture of a young black guy conversing with a professor on the cover. The young man was wearing a DU letter jacket, but the "D" had been removed. Would not want to send the message that DU's black athletes also value their educations.
