2nd Term - Part 3 - Echo Chambers, Chorales, and Wingnuts, Oh My!

1) Conservative groups rely more on these organizations, which are legal, for campaign funding than liberals ones do. 2) Given that this is a relatively new phenomenon, and right leaning groups were better out of the gate at setting up and funding these entities, it makes sense they would be getting more of the scrutiny from the IRS.

Makes sense to me. If the right was a bit more strategic about this, they would sit back and say nothing. Let the news do damage. But spending years trying to pin low level IRS moves on Obama will backfire. Guarenteed.

And let the whole thing turn into a "fact" that they either cheated, or got away with cheating? They're not stupid.

No. Let it get investigated as needed...but don't turn it into a political circus. Often the goal is to be the adult in the room.

That is probably the biggest thing I took out of the John Stewart clips. Republicans have been crying wolf a lot lately...they keep trying to make stories out of little things (I'm guessing mainly because of the 24-hr news cycle), instead of taking stories and doing the dirty work to determine if there really is more to this instead of claiming this is the worst in the history of our country every time something happens.

"Just because they're paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get you." http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/may/13/miller-conservatives-arent-paranoid-irs-really-out/

I don't think anyone is claiming this is the worst in the history of our country. One thing that 12-hour news has done, though (and I say 12-hour because the other 12 hours are basically reruns of that day's events), is allowed for more information to be broadcast that otherwise would have been cut from a 30 or 60 minute broadcast.

Look, lets be honest. The "right" is stupid. Not every person who makes up the right mind you, but their ancestors from the 80's were much smarter strategically.

So for example, Benghazi. It might have been a good idea to check with The Boner BEFORE trying to manufacture a scandal about a coverup.....since the White House disclosed these e-mails to him and Congressional leadership two months ago. So, if there's a cover-up, doesn't that mean he's involved? Has anybody else noticed the people who were beating the Benghazi drum don't have the stones to answer that question?

So, the IRS. Methinks we might want to wait until we get the full picture here. If a new organization uses a new legal ruling to set up as a charity, yet engages in political activity, and has millions of dollars flowing through it, why wouldn't they get audited? I mean, its not like conservatives haven't been burned by overreacting....oh maybe a bazillion times.

Huh. Gosnell cuts a deal to not appeal and the prosecutors agree not to pursue the death penalty. Didn't know Gosnell had much negotiating leverage after the three convictions on first degree murder, but apparently he had enough.

Maybe the state of Pennsylvania wants this out of the news as quick as possible, given their shambolic actions over the years.

Well isn't THIS special?!? Turns out "media sources" have been making up stuff about the Admin's Benghazi response...

For people who tell us to never trust the "lamestream media" you knuckledraggers sure seem to fall for them every time....

Let me show you something. It's my shocked face.

Still waiting for one of the knucks' to man up on Benghazi and explain if Boehner is part of the cover up. He's had the e-mails for months, as well as his leadership in the House.

Opie, Patman, Flag, bigblue, anybody?
