Is this it??? Is this the final season of 24???? Let's not dwell on that, mmkay? Instead, let's just talk about Day 8.

This Sunday is part one of a 4 hour premiere (4 HOURS!!!!! squeeee!!!!!) - 2 hours Sunday, 2 hours Monday - of the 8th season of 24. Unfortunately, the Golden Globes are on at that time and, well, 24 has been a Season Pass on TiVo since Day 1, so I'll missing that live on Sunday. And staying away from the chatter on this thread.

Freddie Prinze Jr. and Katee Sackhoff join the cast, as does Mykelti Williamson. Annie Wersching's Renee is back as well.

Can't wait!!! Oh, and almost forgot....Mmmmm, Kiefer. :)

Freddie Prinze Jr as some kind of bad *** field agent. :confused: You gotta be kidding me. Looks like CTU is now this computerized machines are better than people operation and will need old school Jack Bauer to come and save their a**.

i liked the fire axe.

couldn't the stupid russian nypd cop have waited until the copter lifted with everyone on just to be certain?

and i like how he is in character asking to change shifts, but immediately goes foreign when he becomes a bad guy.

and the pres's daughther is WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAZAAAAA WOOOOWWWWWZA HOT :D :D :D :D :D

The one thing I found unintentionally funny last night was Kim's insistence on coming with her husband and daughter to pick up Jack at CTU. Let's see in the past few years CTU has been attacked by gunmen, poison gas and blown up, this CTU is in NYC rather than LA but who would ever go anywhere near the place. ;)

Also with Red making her first appearance this season tonight I hope the action picks up.

I did deliver the line "Let me axe you a question" when that happened.

Everyone thought it was hilarious, although in the interest of full disclosure, I was alone in my apartment at the time.

They scared me there for a minute I thought they were going to turn Renee into some weak kneed Audrey Raines type character. I guess I was wrong. :eek:

I'm not sure if anybody watched the short-lived ABC cop show The Unusuals, which starred (among others) Adam Goldberg and Harold Perrineau, but the "law enforcement agent living under an assumed name receives an unwanted visit from a mysterious person from a shadowy past" plotline involving Katee Sackhoff's character is completely ripped from that show.

It would have been better if the terror attack started with the hijacking of the plane that Jack was on from NY to LA, killing his entire family, (cold, I know) but a ****ed off Jack makes for a good season rather than the I'm-retired-but-I'm-doing-this-for-the-good-of-the-country Jack.

You mean "just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in" Jack, aka "I'm getting too old for this ****" Jack?

I'm not worried, I'm sure he'll get plenty mad. I mean, he slipped back into "WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR? TELL ME WHERE THE BOMB IS!" mode pretty easily with that informant guy.

Played by the same guy who plays Lost's Horace Goodspeed.

And Katee Sackhoff is not pretty. She had a little something going as Starbuck, but she's just not attractive in the least.

Red on the other hand has some serious badass going on. Look what you've created, Jack Bauer.


Chloe's turned into a real aggressive beeyotch. Nice smug look on her face when the president admitted banging the reporter.
