Stevens looks to be doing best in the absentee vote. Depends on how the rest of the votes come in, but if it's been mainly absentee reported so far, El-Sayed should be able to stay ahead on the election day voting.
 
Progressive William Lawrence is projected as the primary winner in CD7.

The Senate margin is 50.1 - 46.2 (25K votes)

ETA: 49.9 - 46.4 (22,500)....

NBC News finally changed the race to "Too Close to Call" from "Too Early to Call"
AES leads 49.7-46.4 (+33K)

It seems to have come down to Wayne County, which is still only 53% reporting.

Next couple hours are critical - 3.4% behind with 29% to go means she’ll have to take almost 60% of the remaining vote to catch up. Possibly doable, especially with a bunch of Wayne County remaining, but she’s going to start feeling the squeeze soon.
 
AES is giving his victory speech without declaring victory.

Dearborn just reported on NBC and boosted AES margin from 19 to 22K. Then some more came in for Stevens.

AES 48.8 (+20,416)
HS 47.2

There are still six counties with 10K votes outstanding.
 
Kornacki isn't ready to call it yet, but I will. 88% in, about 100K votes left. AES leads by 27,186.

It's over.

It's the first week of August but the universities came up big for AES. Michigan, State, Western, Northern and Eastern all come through. WTF happened to Ferris?

Hard to get info here - but getting really tight. I think NBC and Newsmax are the only ones to have projected El-Sayed as the winner. Down to a difference of appx 14,000 with perhaps mostly mail in ballots to be counted from Wayne county that have been trending to Stevens..

Edit: CNN projected as i was typing this.

My party and its followers didn’t try to overthrow the government 5 years ago. My party isn’t providing cover for it. I’ll gladly accept the mantle of “moron” from people on the Right who still support Trump. If choosing between saving democracy and fascism comes down to someone saving democracy calling you a moron if you vote for fascism, well…moron is the best I can do for you.

Alright, you’re a Michigan voter. AES is the progressive, far-left Democrat versus a “moderate” Republican Mike Rogers. Who are you voting for and why?
