Meanwhile, defeating Susan Collins is so vital that Maine Democratic Governor Janet Mills has decided not to endorse Jackson.

VBNMW is not about voting for Democrats. If the candidate is a centrist, then you fucking leftists better get in line because you owe us your vote and if we lose it's all your fault. But if the candidate wants to do anything to help actual people then vote Republican.

I would 100% agree that there is no one person in the Democratic Party that has a grip on other members in the same way that Trump does on republicans. But some of the concepts are equally whacky in opposite directions.

It's called negotiations. We used to compromise as a proper country until the fucking Republicans dug in the trenches and It's their way or no way at all.

How many Americans need to be murdered in: broad daylight, on camera, point blank, execution style, for you, EricRedAxe, to finally wake the fuck up that "Abolish ICE" isn't just a wacky, loony leftist, belief but an attempt to keep Americans alive? Will you finally wake up when your wife gets thrown into an unmarked van, phone turned off, and whisked to a tent camp in El Paso Texas for a month because she "has a tan and funny sounding last name?"

Let's not forget the Green New Deal, which is almost a decade old at this point, that had such pie in the sky dreams of upgrading our electrical infrastructure, increase battery storage, expand wind, solar, and water energy.

But instead, people like you EricRedAxe, piss and moan who will pay, but are suspiciously silent about these data centers pillaging our crumbling infrastructure and increasing energy consumption beyond our current capacity?

Healthcare for all is terrible? Holy fuck. Of every World Cup teams this summer, the US was the *only* fucking country without universal Healthcare. Because God forbid United Healthcare or BC&BS ceases to exist.

And then why have Democrats, Democrat Socialists, etc. become the champions of our protected park lands? Growing up, conservatives meant protecting our land, setting limits on pollution, setting sensible laws to protect animals. But today's GOP has openly worked to dismantle those protections in the name of shareholder value and quarterly profit reports.

So EricRedAxe, if some bumper sticker slogans scare you, you can fuck all the way off and go enjoy boot licking you fascist adjacent fuck.

Of course none of this is what i was saying. But of course you will only look at it through your lens.

As mentioned before - are you really so blinded with anger that you can't find an opinion on immigration issues that is somewhere between "eliminate borders / 100% amnesty" and "masked agents murdering citizens"?

(Or and you can fuck off too if you have so much anger that you can't even discuss varying perspectives)

My take is if the law is so wrong, fix the laws. Currently, crossing into this country without valid paperwork is the equivalent of a parking ticket. Why is ICE running around playing Rambo while chasing down parking tickets?

Add additional judges who can work through the backlog of immigration cases. Never been discussed by either party.

Improve ways to access the legal process. Instead Trump and Republicans shut down the app that was pushed during the Biden admin that was used to start the process, and made the system more difficult.

Again, fix the problems that exist. That's what I want. Restructuring an agency doesn't magically make laws dissappear. DHS is younger than you or I. A new agency can easily be created.

But if my choices are "Blank Check for ICE" or "Abolish ICE," you're fucking right I'm voting to abolish ICE.


*edit* And have we all memory holed the bipartisan border bill that would have made these exact changes, but was personally torpedoed by then Candidate Trump because he didnt want to hand Biden a win?

Where is that bill? Why has it not been put back on the floor?

There you go - that is the type of position i would be talking about. I refuse to believe the choices are binary between "blank check for ice" and "zero borders". The bipartisan bill was a good bill IMO. Should have been passed. Shameful that Trump killed it and republicans fell in line.

Candidly the choices are never black and white between two extremes as you had laid them out. Imagine if i were on here accusing people who don't support AIPAC that it means they were in favor of the October 7th attack on Israel and they support Hamas?

I wish I believed that Israel didn't know October 7th was coming but I don't. There was massive evidence and reporting at the time that they did. They needed an excuse to fight the War they desperately wanted to fight and they got it.

No one is advocating for eliminating borders and in fact they were never open at any point in time.

btw the vast majority of illegals in the country are there by way of overstayed visas.

And the majority of those are Western Europeans but for some mysterious reason they aren't being hunted down, taken hundreds of miles from their families and eventually deported someplace they have never been surrounded by people who speak a different language with no money or way to reach the people back home.

I wonder why...
 
It has continued to amaze me that random youtuber/twitter poster on the far left saying something holds the same rhetorical weight with the both sides people as the president in power as well as the lockstep congress saying insane far right rhetoric repeatedly.
