2025 Bracketology: The Road to TBD!

The only fair way to run this thing is to limit participation to conference playoff champions only. If a team cannot even win their own conference tournament, what make them think they deserve an opportunity to be more?
I think whatever team in your conference gets to 10 wins first should be your conference representative.

No changes in bids/NPI to report on, so this will more likely than not be the bracket we see tomorrow morning

Stevenson/UNE @ Fitchburg/Utica
It’s kind of amusing that we are (according to the ncaa mileage calculator) 15 miles away from an essentially perfect bracket and not screwing the 2,6 and 7 seeds. But that would set up the potential for Utica/Geneseo for the 6th time this year so maybe a change of scenery with Trine/Hobart isn’t the worst thing. Though good luck beating Hobart…

5 teams in the west, with SNC and Gustavus playing in a Quarterfinal and Aurora awaiting the winner of EauClaire and Trine in another Quarter? I like your style!

Can anyone find a link to view the selection show this morning? I'm not having any luck - but I'm also not the most computer savvy guy...

It seems they've finally picked bracket integrity over distance, this bracket rocks

Gustavus @ St. Norbert
Fitchburg @ Utica

Now that the USCHO has added the NPI to the website, we can start with our bracketology updates for 2025. Per the usual, points% is the factor used to determine conference auto-bids right now, as teams have not played the same amount of games.

Round one of bracketology gives us a very rarely seen 8/5 split in East/West, which makes for a very interesting bracket to start off with, but to make it work with mileage and such, this is what we've got

Auto-Bids:

CNE: Curry (7)
MAC: Wilkes (11)
MASCAC: Plymouth State (24)
MIAC: Saint Mary’s (31)
NCHA: Trine (5)
NEHC: Hobart (2)
NESCAC: Hamilton (14)
SUNYAC: Oswego (22)
UCHC: Geneseo (1)
WIAC: UW-Superior (30)

At-Large:

St. Norbert (3)
Utica (4)
Aurora (6)

Round 1:

Saint Mary’s @ UW-Superior
Plymouth State @ Geneseo
Oswego @ Hobart
Hamilton @ Utica
Wilkes @ Curry

QF:

Saint Mary’s/UW-Superior @ St. Norbert
Aurora @ Trine
Plymouth State/Geneseo v. Wilkes/Curry
Oswego/Hobart v. Hamilton/Utica
Bracket is up:

Great job putting together the brackets. The West will have to play through the East and earn the right to host the final four. While I don't like to jinx the Statesmen by assuming anything(especially with either Trine or Oswego as their first game), it would be interesting to have a Curry/Utica/Hobart/Geneseo final four, with Curry hosting. If any of the West teams advance to the final four, they likely will host.
