NPI is udated, Hamilton is at 28
The West turned upside down this weekend. An encore from yesterday, this time UWEC takes down UWRF 3-0, Bethel knocks of Hamline 4-0, St Olaf 5 CSB 1.
The only sure thing was the shaky goaltending at Gustavus, current collective save percentage .856. My condolences, it can only go up from there so here's hoping one of you breaks through.
I'm going to have to watch that replay of the UWEC game.....thought I pulled the men's score on accident. I had that team dead to rights vs RF, watching them twice prior to start the season. Not a bad team by any means, but beating RF was not on anyone's radar. Over the years they've always played them tough but that's a true shocker.
Tuesday night UWEC vs GAC - Can they get over their celebratory hang over to score some goals? Might be worth a watch to see what happens.

It's far too early to look at the NPI. Maybe this time next week after the Thanksgiving tourneys are done.
It's truly remarkable watching Gustavus hockey. The entire game, they have the puck in the opponent's zone, and the second the opponent retrieves a dump in the GAC end of the ice, the puck is in the back of the net within 5 seconds. It's truly hilarious how bad their in-zone defense and more obviously, the goaltending is.
Carroll's recruiting went from an all-time high to an all-time low within about a 3 year period. The fifth years that graduated in the last 2-3 years were high D1 talents, and I don't know if these girls he has gotten as of late should be playing college hockey in the MIAC.

Even then it's too early.
NPI needs about an extra month than what PWR needed to fully begin to bake in.

It was announced by St. Mary's women's hockey that junior goaltender Riley Vander Esch is fighting a cancerous brain tumor. There is positive news:
"Riley is completing radiation treatments, and once finished, she’ll begin a new, promising drug called ONC201 — a treatment recently approved after clinical trials supported by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This breakthrough drug represents hope not only for Riley, but for countless children and families fighting brain tumors across the country."
SMU women's hockey is raising money for St. Jude's, and donations to their fundraiser can be given here.

Doubtful that they're siblings...11 year age gap isn't typical and Dylan's hometown is San Jose while Riley's is from Sioux Falls.
