2024 SUNYAC additions ,subtractions and Tomfoolery......

None needed its all probability. ur telling me out of all the hundreds of players and blueline club members from the past 50 years every single one of them followed the rules to the tee and not one single person never slipped a guy 20$ for whatever or helped cover rent for a month? All the big traditional programs have probably done it multiple times. Norwich,Stevens Point, RIT back in the day heck Nubs is probably helped half the St Norbert hockey team pass their english classes with all those big words he likes to use. Doesnt matter much now anyway theyre allowed to be paid and if the NCAA wants to waste their time and money on an investigation on some old d3 hockey teams while being sued every day be my guest. Honestly why dont we pay players now is the better question if we have so much town/alumni support lets use it someone has to stop those guys down in Geneva.

I don't agree 100% with your post, but I really like this clip! Keep it up LZ.
I do agree 100% with pulling up to the talent level of that team in Geneva. Use to be us, pass the hat.

Some comments from Coach Moffat today:

Ruled out for the Cardinals this weekend' Classic are Joshua Belgrave, Nick Recupero, Sam D’Amico and William Jasmin.

Plattsburgh recently lost Tio D’Addario to transfer and the latest player to leave is senior forward and captain Luk Jirousek, who will pursue a pro career.

“It is what is is,” Moffat said. “We need everyone who is playing to step up and do their job.”

The Ramm brothers will play against each other today. Tyler plays for Plattsburgh and Nicholas plays for Wentworth. Former Cardinals will be behind the Wentworth bench.

well from what I see, and this is a laymen's opinion,I am by no means Russell:D:D,,,,if you look at the polls seems to be a ton of private schools gathered at the top, maybe they have more leeway:cool::cool:,in their recruiting?? After watching the Oswego v Utica game last night and listening to Ray Biggs's commentary of how The U brought in, new players at the break,1 SUNYAC rookie of the yr,1 MASCAC rookie of the yr,1 is coming in from a Canadian college who is the leading scorer,1 freshman goalie who leaves halfway through the season?? and I think another top player as well, leeds me to believe again they have more leeway $$$, in their recruiting....again not sure how all this works but it is what I see happening....Let's Go lakers!!!p.s. I would hope the booster clubs and others don't get involved in D3 but I guess that would be naive,D3 seems to have been doing pretty well before this, with a bump in the road here or there, throat clear 1987:mad::mad::mad:

someone needs to tear down that 3x ncaa championships sign they have in their locker room and replace it with a 2x and give bakdraft his ring.

To compensate for losing D'addario and Jirousek (along with Belgrave and Jasmin being out) that Moffatt has moved Jack Ring to the forward group.

Ring just scored Plattsburgh's first goal of tonight's game.

Interesting night in Plattsburgh tonight. With the Cardinals trailing 5-4 in the third, the Cardinals appear to tie it with just over 3 minutes left. The goal is scored, the Cardinals celebrate, and the official goes to the scorer to announce the goal. Then, it seems from the video broadcast, the Williams bench complains, the officials huddle, and the goal is called back for offsides. Not sure how they suddenly were able to call it, but the Cardinals end up falling 5-4 tonight. Having watched the replay several times, I can’t tell on their low-res broadcast whether the call is right or wrong, but it definitely was not called during the play…

Plattsburgh goalie Eli Shiller was included in senior night honors despite being only listed as a junior on the roster. It looks like the Cardinals will need to replace both Hearne and Shiller.

Been an interesting season for Plattsburgh with defections and injuries to some top talent. This will be an important off season for Moffat with some big holes to fill and the SUNYAC getting even tougher in 25-26.

Well they made it back to the Yac Final again, they seem to have a knack for it....should be a great tilt either way....I watched the ending of the game as Oswego had theirs in hand,WOW what a finish........

Yeah, I'm recommending to the Cardinals that they don't fall behind 3-0 again as they have in the first two rounds...

Ironic since someone else on here advised oswego to not go up 3-0
Yeah, I feel more confident in my advice to the Cardinals!

I don't usually look at the USCHO.com poll these days... but I did and I have one question. Who in God's name voted Plattsburgh the #15 team in the country?

Despite having been a Plattsburgh hockey fan since 2008 when I was a freshman this is my first away trip to Oswego...where's a good place for a quick bite between the women's and men's championship games and what might be a good sit down place that will be open after the game (assuming we don't get some 4 OT ridiculousness in either game)...

The concession stand at Oswego is one of the best around. Decent prices and good food (though, the typical concession stand variety). Despite the fact they no longer sell Hoffman Hots (Boooo!), they still have decent hot dogs, very good fries, pretty darn good (but smallish) pretzels, and outstanding huge chocolate chunk cookies (though lately they've been more chips than chunks). I haven't tried anything else, but they do have burgers, I think chicken fingers, some specials, the usual. If the other items are as good as what I've had, you'll be fine. Just get in line early before a game or after a period. They can get long.

They do have some tables outside the rink proper and a lot more tables downstairs, if you want to sit and relax. Obviously, you could go out, but you're talking at most two hours between games. Less of course if there's overtime.

As for a nice place after the game, I'll let the locals answer that. There are some good places, I just can't recall them offhand.
