2024 NCAA Tournament

... Now, by the way, Clarkson-Minnesota is listed as 2PM eastern. (edit: Colgate's Saturday game 2PM too)

Interesting tweaks. By adding the OSU contest, Saturday viewers can now watch two games -- with only a small bit of overlap. Assuming your early game doesn't go to OT, of course.

Baby steps....

Duluth vs UConn is now showing up on the BTN-Plus "Event Calendar".

The other expected Thursday game, St Lawrence vs Penn State, is still not there. Neither Saturday game there yet.

Duluth-UConn is listed as "free", BTW.

--------------

And then five minutes later, St Lawrence - Penn State appears. Also "Free".

I'm imagining some poor guy having to manually type in the team names and game time, and cut-and-paste the URL to the game stream. I'd have imagined it all being more automated...

Penn State just showed a flash video clip of a press conference with some Penn State players, but of course no link to actually watch the press conference itself. Does anyone know where to watch this?

Not used to seeing LaBahn look like a mini mausoleum!
actually the crowd is prob not terrible; it’s just that what Badgers get is good.

At least Stonehill scored. More than I can say so far for four of the teams.

UMD won the only stat that matters, going 2-0 on goal reviews during the 2nd OT and advancing.

It was quite the barn burner. I felt bad for UConn as they had a beautiful goal with 10:37 left in the 2nd OT and they and their fans went into full Celly mode. Then it was announced a challenge for offsides and the goal was disallowed. UConn's goaltender was phenomenal. It looked like we may have a 3rd OT when Duluth scores and it was challenged for goaltender intermission and the goal stood so the Celly roles were reversed.
I guess we just have to beat Duluth a 6th time this season!

The box score says 701. Half of them probably named Janecke, but still. For two teams located hundreds of miles away, they seems pretty darn good to me.

As the resident UConn hater I for one did not feel bad for UConn and actually quite enjoyed the schadenfreude

We all have those feelings about certain teams but I felt it would have been nice to play a team besides a conference opponent we already played 5 times this season but it is what it is.

And you shut them out in four of the five games. Two goals surrendered in five games. It's as close to a 'walk over' as a team is going to get; A 'free pass' to the final four. What is there to complain about?!?

Head-to-head/common opponents records this season for the quarterfinals:
Ohio State vs UMD - Ohio State owns the head-to-head 5-0
Wisconsin vs St. Lawrence - no head-to-head this season; Wisconsin is 2-3 vs Ohio State, while SLU is 0-2 vs Ohio State
Colgate vs Cornell - Colgate has the head-to-head advantage 3-0
Clarkson vs Minnesota - no head-to-head yet; Clarkson is 0-2 vs Cornell (one loss in OT) and 2-0 vs Harvard, while Minnesota is 1-0 vs Cornell and 1-0 vs Harvard
