GA I agree with you...I don't trust the people in charge there. Unless Harris wins huge they will deny certification so if she needs GA to win all hell will break loose.

Pennsylvania is the key. (as you know) Without it Trump has almost zero path to victory which is the main reason a problematic candidate like Shapiro was in play for Veep. Trump is going to spend a lot of time there.

With all due respect to everyone else, handy and fade are the only two who got what I meant. I should have been more clear.

I don't want to rely on states with delegations or state leadership who will challenge the vote. Both are correct on AZ state leadership, but depending on how state election laws go, if the state leadership go into effect on 1/1, relying on current state leadership is tenuous as best.

GA scares the fuck out of me.
AZ less so, but they've put the infrastructure into place where republicans can try to treason their way to power.

anyways, just wanted to clear up what I meant by this. It's not about whether I think we have a chance or if we should campaign there. It's about what happens if there are 10,000 votes that decide the election.
 
when mookie was in PA last month he observed less trumper signs than in the past 2 generals.
take that for what it’s worth

I am choosing to just assume GA is a loss until proven otherwise. Not because I don't think Harris will get the votes, but because it's too easy to cheat. Now lawsuits have already started to try and stop the Election Committee or whatever they are and we know Mark Elias will put his full weight into that as well but...it's GA. (I'm saying this ironically from the Atlanta Airport) They don't even hide their shadiness. Harris doesn't need GA so it just isn't worth stressing out over.

Honestly I would rather put the effort into NC over GA because with a likely win in the Governors race and Moore running around stumping (and with Biden getting close in '20) that seems more likely. Again not needed but if it happens Trump is DOA.

Thing is, as much as I don't want to get positive gains are coming. The DNC is going to give Harris a bump. Unless Trump stops talking he is going to at best tread water until the debate. Vance is dragging down an already sinking ship and apparently they have some money issues. **cough**HESTOLEIT!!!**cough** And while the media is doing their best to horse race this the truth is the voters seem bored with that and that is making Trump more unhinged. It's a weird thing to watch...

I am getting a sense of exhaustion with Dump. Not from true believers like my next-door neighbor, of course - those loons are doubling and tripling down. But people who rolled the dice on him over Hillary in 2016 are pretty done with his shtick. Several million of his disproportionately elderly voters have since passed, a handful even doing so needlessly to own the libs.

MAGA is old, shriveling up, and dying.

but I think it's because people are tired of their kids cutting them off from their lives and Trump bleeding them dry.

I drove some back roads to Portland yesterday and saw some Trump signs, Half a dozen or so? Some of them have been up for years though. Saw 0 Harris signs.
 
You know how Dems collectively decided to "hold up and let them cook," when the GOP was spouting off?

Dems need to address Gen Z voters--the segment with global warming at the top of its concerns--with Tik Toks pointing out that the Trump Admin banned its agencies from using terms like "climate change" and "reduce greenhouse gases" and that Project 2025 calls for the same. Also that TrumPutin's hatred of turbines stems from the Scottish company that put them in the sea in view of his golf course and then beat in him in court.

My 75yo FIL, who donated at the level to get all the various knockoff Yeti mugs with the taunting slogans, even he said to me about the election when Biden was still in, “I just don’t like either of those guys.”

ETA: Come to think of it, Harris/Walz should start selling the same thing in blue with “Not weird.” on it. It would drive the TFG backers nuts.
