You had it right originally...Shapiro is an own goal. If we can't win Pennsylvania without Shapiro and his baggage then we don't deserve to win. Full stop.

Come on, what good could a guy do - who got the most progressive agenda passed since the new deal with a one vote majority?

timmy won’t be vp, but it’s only snobs who think he has nothing to add precisely because he’s not one of them and isn’t pedigreed enough.being able to speak to rurals and farmers is for pansies

Look I'm voting for Harris no matter what, but would anyone be pimping Shapiro if he was Governor of Washington? His issues would be disqualifying. But Nate Silver said it has to be him and the media slurps it up. (I won't get into his ulterior motives)

Keep in mind, the media wants Shapiro for different reasons. They know he causes chaos in the party between The Progressives/Youth and The Centrists. They are tired of all the positivity and Trump stepping on his own feet while Vance drags him down. They want a horse race, they want division and they want controversy. Shapiro gives them that. Literally anyone else causes no ripples and everyone is happy...even Kelly. Shapiro is just The Establishment forcing the issue.

But hey, we won't look hypocritical putting up a candidate that (allegedly) covered up sexual harassment for a buddy. That won't look misogynistic at all. And even though one of the things dragging Bidens numbers down was Gaza, let's put up a guy who attacked protestors and has a terrible policy. And let's piss off the Teachers Unions and we'll, teachers in general by nominating a guy who supports school vouchers.

Now to be fair, there is no proof these are the only three she met (she could have talked to people yesterday) or that she wasn't telling them to their face they won't get it. I doubt that is the case but it is possible.

Well that's gonna come in handy because Harris may be more fair-minded about Gaza and the West Bank than anyone since Carter, and AIPAC will be in a continual conniption fit.
 
FWIW, I'm fine with Walz. I merely said I see no relative advantage in him. If you want avuncular and pepto to Kam's spice, Kelly. If you're aiming at PA... aim at PA, Shapiro.

Walz is reasonable, can be sold to the entire country, and will just make the fasc attacks feel even more unhinged.

Speaking of, looks like after 16 years of unanswered "Today is Wednesday," the antidote was there all along: "That's weird. Anyway."

It's not a bump anymore, it's a trendline.

I do not understand why 538 does not blow away all of its other presidential polling trend lines and averages and dashboards and put the only one that matters at the top of their site. Just the continuous, realtime trending on one number: likelihood Harris wins the EC based on aggregated state by state polls and probabilities, weighted for recency, with user controls to change tolerances but defaulting to the most methodologically sound polls. Full stop. Throw it on an app and everybody can have it on their smartwatch.

Everything else on their, and every other, presidential poll page is worse than worthless.

Evidently Kelly tweeted his priority going forward is serving AZ, but it has since been deleted. Can’t help but think he’s out, he just shared too early.
