Funny thing I I agree with his overall premise (less opinion more fact) but he and Zazlov flubbed that from the word jump. Licht will be replaced by December '24 and likely long before that. Newsmax is like half de-platformed and gets better ratings.
 
You think licht lasts a year and a half with under half a million viewers?

I think they won't abandon the "new" format so quickly. They risked a lot and another sea change could honestly kill it completely. Licht will bow to Zazlovs whims enough to stick around a while and with an election on the horizon they might be ok waiting it out. Right now WBD has a lot in its plate with the Hollywood implosion.

They need some serious damage control but if they can afford another Trump rally disaster they could regain traction. If they go with the original plan (report not comment) they could carve out a niche and build. Note: they won't but they could.

If I was advising Licht I say "assume you are on a rolling 4-6 month deal for the foreseeable future.

If they only report news then they run out of viewers quick. You watch the news and unless a very terrible event is happening people turn to watch something else, likely because of the commentary.

What is? Licht hasn't been replaced as far as I can see. Unless you misread what I said about Newsmax. I said they are beating CNN in the ratings.

Not as fast as they will run out of them as Faux Lite. They need to stop the bleeding and fast.

Sorry I will make my idea clearer. Looking at ratings is dumb for real news outlets. Particularly in prime time. Primetime news viewers are the TV equivilent to message board users. They don't want news they want discussion.
