I wonder how many in Milton path are maga people who moved to Florida during Covid for freedumb. I hope it’s millions and I hope they get the full brunt of what they pay and vote for
 
Not sure 100% about this, but it’s sounding like Deathsantis is not taking calls from the White House over FEMA aid and prep for Milton. VP Harris was pretty blunt in her reply over this.

Its 100% true DeSantis's people were openly bragging about it yesterday and it even came up at the WH Press Conference yesterday. Harris ripped him a new one when she got off Air Force 2 yesterday as well.

(it sounds like he is ducking calls now from the WH as well)

Its so ridiculous...we all know why this is happening. Trump got mad that every Republican was telling him to shut up about it because the lies were hurting rescue efforts so he went to Chubby Ronny and said "if you want any donations from Mar A Lago ever again you better stop taking their calls!" and probably threw in some new boots as well.

Since I teach at an online school one of my co-teachers is from a very red part of Florida. (where the Moms For Liberty Lady is from) You know all the horror stories we hear...all of them are true and so much more.

I have coworkers that went from boarding windows and such to ride it out to getting the hell out of dodge after the projected track updates today. They are in Cape Coral. Give that town a google image search and just imagine how that place is going to handle this.

I'm watching a bunch of "tracking Milton live" feeds and the chat to the sidebar are just filled with wild disinformation and attacks on Harris. If you evacuate you're a Demonrat Sucker or a fake account. These people are going to die to own the libs.
 
Storms looks to be shifting south a wee bit. Also not weakening, still a CAT 5. Scary shit
 
I've been learning a lot about local weather people's choice of suits this hurricane season. Generally speaking: poor. Lots of beige with bad tie matching. Lots of wrinkles. Occasionally there is a guy in a really aggressive number, like shark skin, and invariably that guy is a tool who clearly is f-cking the weather girl. Then there is an ocean of blue televangelist suits I instinctively don't trust. Everybody looks like they sell shady insurance or reverse mortgages.

The women are either comically large breasted dyed blondes or the Very Concerned Sisters who work security at my job. They have a warning for you and you best listen. Between them, they wear a variety of surprising colors. The blondes tend to dress like "I was a cheerleader for South Carolina 15 years ago" and have a vague Sarah Palin "total freak after 2 drinks" vibe.

There is going to be a Sharknado there...good God they better hope we can control the weather because if the storm goes through there they are toast.

Further south would be worse for my grandfather. I just texted to check on him and ask what he did. Would call, but he can't hear worth sh*t anymore and probably wouldn't hear the d@mn phone ringing.
