2023 NCAA Women's Tournament - Scores and Comments

And of coarse former Clarkson player Lauren Bernard gets the go ahead goal for tOSU. Up now 2-1 with 4 min to go in the 2nd.

As KTDC talked about, the Yuckeyes did not let the Bobcats scoring the first goal deter them...Going to be an uphill battle for Q in the 3rd period down 2-1.

The WCHA has represented well so far today...

Watching the Yuckeyes, one thing bugs me...The refs let them cheat in the faceoff dot pretty much every time. Especially #17 and #15.

Rosenthal is the worst in the league on that. She stands over the faceoff dot, and the official gives her a warning. Then #15 stands over the dot again, and the puck gets dropped.

Will be hard to come back from 3-1 for Q.

I came into the first game today undecided on who I was rooting for, but the Ohio State band just played the national anthem in 58 seconds. I cannot let that that commitment to good musical taste go unrewarded. Go Buckeyes.

That's an absolutely terrible call to overturn. She tried to handpass it and didn't succeed lol. Simply awful from the officials.

They showed a replay when they came back from commercial that quite clearly showed the hand pass. She didn't move it much, but she did move it, and that helped the breakaway get started.

Northestern has had this happen to them in the previous two Tournaments where the pace that WCHA teams play seems to set them back on their heels right out of the gate. They obviously have talked about but talking about it is one thing...Experiencing it is another.
