2022 NCAA Tournament

That 2020 Norwich team was very very special. Nine shutouts in a row heading into the NCAA Tournament.

An incredible defensive team, no doubt about it.

But let's not forget that Utica lead the nation in almost every offensive category in 2020, and had excellent goaltending as well.

I was looking forward to an NCAA tilt between the two, but there came Covid.

Will Adrian become the 8th different school to win a National championship while a member of the NCHA?? Joining: Point, Eau Claire, Superior, Bemidji, Mankato, River Falls, and SNC.

Don't tell Fishman that. The UCHC is far superior to the NCHA. Just ask him.

Rumor is the Atlantic may be willing to flip flop their schedule so they'd play an afternoon championship and then UU would get the nightcap, but ticket info should be out tomorrow, so that's when we'll know for sure

Seeing that it has not been posted here yet........

"The Pioneers earned a first-round bye and will host either University of New England or Plymouth State in the quarterfinals on Saturday, March 19th at the Adirondack Bank Center at 2 p.m Season ticket holders will have the first chance to get tickets, starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the Adirondack Bank Center Box Office. From Wednesday morning until the box office closes on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Ticket sales will be open to the general public on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 10 a.m. following the season ticket holder presale. Starting Sunday tickets will be available online as well as in person."

The NCAA site has a slot for the 3rd place game!? Is that erstwhile tradition to be resumed this year??

The NEHC strategy to increase the league's overall quality, and bump the pairwise comparisons seems to have paid off ... at least for this year.

There's nothing in the published championship manual on the NCAA site for a third-place game for the men's tournament and I cannot find a news release of it being added back. Might be an error where the same person was updating both brackets and got confused.

I called The Aud today, and the box office says that above still stands.

I'll go in-person tomorrow to secure our seats, but will have second thoughts if they move the game to 1900.

We have grown to love the early starts. (What else is there to do at 1400 in CNY, on March 19th, anyway?)

Then, we'll hit Pho Mekong for some great Vietnamese and to toast the win (BYOB, mind you), and still get home early enough to watch Lawrence Welk.

An old man's dream!

So if I fish in the Chemung river on a Tuesday, I will have a 42% chance of catching a fish I can keep.

See I can also say random pointless things just like you.

Lookit, another guy who makes a blanket statement and gets called on it and can't just admit he is wrong. Must be something in the water out east.

In case anyone was wondering the NCHA was over .500 out of conference while the UCHC was well below.

Oh look another arrogant Westerner. Never seen that before..................

Here are some facts for you to try and dispute.

NCHA 10 team league record 131-127-14
NEHC 10 team league record 127-104-21

Hmmm four more wins for the NCHA but a far worse winning percentage and 23 more losses as I said............hmmmm yeah keep flapping those gums about the better Western teams.

Now compared to the UCHC you do fair better, they are 124-126-12, but they have 1 fewer loss.

Good stats. That must be a factor why the NEHC received 3 bids, the NCHA received 2 bids, and the UCHC received only 1.

You did not originally mention the NEHC, nor did I mention the NEHC. We were talking about the UCHC. Nice retroactive try, though.

If you are going to use league records, you have to use inter conference play.

The NCHA was 28-24-6. Not great but not bad.
The UCHC was 24-35-2. Pretty poor.

So it appears I just disputed your "facts" with information easily found on the USCHO website. Try to stick to actual data instead of emotion and you may fare better in a discussion.

Don't tell Fishman that. The UCHC is far superior to the NCHA. Just ask him.

Nobody EVER said that, let alone me. It's as clear as day that the UCHC is the 2nd-worst conference in all of D-3. Try to keep up.

Your "My daddy can beat-up your daddy" BS is incredibly adolescent, and doesn't lend a scintilla of interest to this thread. It's all "nyah, nyah, nyah".

I've been on USCHO for 25+ years, and I have truly never seen such a consistent stream of drivel before.

Have a good night.

(Perhaps you should purchase some *****-enlargement products, just to keep yourself busy down there in Mama's basement..? A win-win for the both of you.)

I certainly hope you don't talk to Roberta that way with that potty-mouth. It would be quite ungentlemanly.

Oh and I made a general statement that all conferences have wins and losses, no one is immune. Psst all conferences would include the NEHC.

So let me get this straight, you think you win this discussion by limiting the data fields? Oh so you mean you cherry pick the data that supports your weak argument. I showed that the UCHC was in fact weaker than the NCHA in my stats, never disputed that. I brought up the NEHC because they are my conference and show that the West is not as dominate as you would suggest.

4 games over .500 is not bad??? Wow you never took a stats class did you? Besides what does interconference play have to do with anything. I was talking about simple records, win and losses, not the most convenient sub-set to support my argument.

So we will go with the West is not the juggernaut you suggest as has been proven vs the NEHC's record. And I will take this win.

Thank you and have a nice day.
