They announced the field in a press release at 9:41 am but no bracket and no matchups. What fucktards.
Can't Wait to see how the crowd turns up at the Aud in two weeks, that I going to be one hostile crowd for whoever has to walk into that building. Overall I don't think there is anything to complain about here the big boys all got their expected buys, a couple of possible cinderella spoilers in the field (Don't sleep on St. Olaf they have the power of Betty Whites ghost behind them) and in general great way to be back after a two-season break
Most likely an afternoon game at the Aud.
I watched it ...
Rumor is the Atlantic may be willing to flip flop their schedule so they'd play an afternoon championship and then UU would get the nightcap, but ticket info should be out tomorrow, so that's when we'll know for sure
Hoping the Elmira vs Hobart winner is up for handling everyone else’s dirty work.
This years Adrian team may be the best D3 team I have ever seen, including the undefeated Point team, and the ‘08 Green Knights. But, they’re going to need to show it in this tournament or it’s all for naught.
Judging by how they continued to sound the air horn and blow smoke behind the SNC goaltenders as they eclipsed the 10 goal mark on Saturday it was pretty evident they are not particularly accustomed to this kind of success as a program. But, to be fair, they are the NCHA champions and it was their building, so they can do whatever they want.
When it comes to best D3 teams ever, I also think the Norwich team of the pandemic ended season also deserve a nod. Feel bad for those kids. What was it? 9 shutouts in a row heading into NCAA’s? Unreal.
That 2020 Norwich team was very very special. Nine shutouts in a row heading into the NCAA Tournament. Correct.
One thing that has been on my mind through this season is Adrian didn't really experience the disruption in their program the way basically everyone else did last year that played either zero or very few games. Adrian played their full 25 game schedule and practiced/play the whole season without skipping a beat. Granted that isn't everything, but that has to give some sort of merit with how good of a season they are having this year.
