You're creating a false dichotomy. A person can speak up without being bashed, it's just a matter of how that voice is raised. While a firebrand will earn a headline, a more tactful approach will earn respect.
I'd look out for Jay Inslee, Governor of Washington. He's been out front in the Trump resistance.
