Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers

Liz is not hurting herself

She is getting in front of hilly part 3.

Someone need to take control there. Bernie is not a dem so he can't :p

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers

Liz should run for Governor to get Executive experience.

Governors don't do sh-t unless it's CA or NY, and that takes her out of the national debate on economic justice. No thanks.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers

Lizzy is hurting herself if Brazile has it wrong. She's basically casting her lot with Donna's "I need to sell a book" version of the truth. From what I've read Donna might be mistaken in her timeline of when Hillary's campaign took over the DNC and if she is Liz is gonna look stupid.

Not sure why Howard Dean isn't back running the DNC...

They'll just **** everybody off again and everyone will stay home in 2018 and 2020. After all, it's all the same thing right? That's what Sic always says. Both parties are the same. No difference.

Yeah Governors in other states dont do anything. Do you try and sound this arrogant or did they teach a class on it at that so called Ivy League school you went too...

A little of both.

Let me put it differently. I would rather see Warren stay in the Senate except for a handful of other positions where she might be able to do more good. Among those would be NY or CA governor, and then only as a stepping stone to the White House. Since she is too old for any sort of lateral move like that (too old to run for prez, when it comes to that) I'd rather she stay put.

I do think Governor is highly overrated as far as executive experience goes. The one thing a governor, of any state, does that is relevant is they have to tight rope walk between a trillion special interests both in government and in their constituency.

The big advantage of being a Governor instead of a Senator is it enables the candidate to duck votes on really important and controversial issues and not have too many bombs in their record. That's why it has been such an effective conduit to the White House.

No.
NO.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers

Oddly enough its actually good to have this venting going on now and not next year or 3 years hence. From my perspective I don't care if the Dem nominee is Joe Manchin or Bernie Sanders - either one is getting my full support given the alternative.

What? Not a fan of Paul Ryan*?

*Listening to some, Trump will be in jail and Pence will be shortly thereafter (guilt by association) and Pres. Paul Ryan will the incumbent. :D

The GOP is so dangerous I now extend this to every single race from President down to dog catcher.

And I used to really, really believe in being an Independent.

There is no choice anymore. We are in an existential struggle for the future of democracy. This is no longer Dem vs GOP or left vs right. It's human vs ape.

Yes that sounds much less like a d-bag :D

I have this conversation with Dr. Mrs. a lot.

A lot.

My aim is to qualify as an adequate human being before the day I die. I am nowhere close yet.
