Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers V: Bye Felicia

You can sing kumbaya all you want publicly, but you still know his statement was true.

What part of "unite or die" do you not understand?

We can kill each other on 11/4/20. Until then we are family, I got all my sisters with me.

It's 13 months. If I can choke it down you can too.

I will vote for any D short of Gabbard in the general. But telling our resident Bernie Bro to shut the Fark up is necessary from time to time because his stupidity is more likely to drive people away than our responses.

Put another way, you shouldn't let the drunk racist uncle represent the family to the neighbors.

Why don't you give that speech to trix then? He's launching baseless attacks against Warren similar to what YOU did in 2016. No wonder you have a soft spot for the guy. BTW - What IS it with you Bernie supporters and attacks on female candidates?

All I want from life for the next 13 months is no insults against Democrats. Hillary is the Virgin Mary. Bernie is Moses. Warren is Joan d'Arc. Biden is George Washington. Obama is MLK without the adultery.

We are all spotless, brilliant, and selfless servants of the public good. All our children are above average (looking at Republican children this is likely a fact).

The people, united, shall never be defeated.

Baseless attacks lmfao. Rover's IDPOL nonsense would fall more into that realm but at this point I'm convinced he's trying to be ironic because nobody could possibly be self unaware.

Primary season is not the time to gather 'round the campfire and sing Kumbaya. Primary season is a time for candidates to show us what differentiates them from other Democrats (or Republicans). That doesn't mean they have to be nasty, they just have to stay on message. Have any of the candidates or campaigns (not supporters) attacked other Democrats? Well, other than Biden... It's been apparent from the beginning that Warren and Sanders have a non-aggression pact, and that likely holds true for most other candidates. Have Booker and Mayor Pete had a knife fight when I wasn't watching?

Up until primary (or caucus) day the supporters are mortal enemies. Afterwards they aren't. Say what you like about "Bernie Bros" but a higher percentage of them voted for Clinton in 2016 than Clinton supporters voted for Obama in 2008. It doesn't get the spotlight because Obama-McCain wasn't as razor-thin as Trump-Clinton.

Sorry that doesn't fly. One can see reasons for voting for McCain (war record, previous history as maverick, etc) if you were a more conservative Dem. There is ZERO reason for a Bernie supporter to vote for Chump. Its practically treason. They could have either stayed home or voted for Russian plant Jill Stein if they felt that strongly about it.

what good does it do to take a candidate that's 1% different from your preferred candidate and attack them like they are as bad as Trump? Go ahead and point out differences, but trixR4kids hatred for anyone not Bernie is odd

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers V: Bye Felicia

Yeah it's an incredibly dumb statement hence why I made the post. I mean I'm sure some Palestinian who was recovering from a sniper wound while protesting the apartheid state really thinks there was a 1% difference after their hospital got bombed.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers V: Bye Felicia

in other words you're butthurt that it ranked Warren higher than Sanders for you

I actually agree with him. And I am not butthurt that I got Castro/Beto/Mayor Pete. ;)

I am guessing there are better ones out there.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers V: Bye Felicia

I tend to agree. Looking at people's scores they don't seem to map to what they've written here. I suspect (1) there are too few answers from us and (2) there is too sparse a selection of positions form the candidates.

Luckily there is another method: we can just list who we side with based on our own opinion! :-)

For me:

1. Sanders
2. Warren
3. Castro
4. O'Rourke
5. Harris
6. Booker
7. Buttigieg
8. Biden

The rest are noise.

Yeah I thought that when I was taking it. Plus the answers to some of them were way too black and white when the answer for us (and each candidate) would be way more nuanced.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers V: Bye Felicia

There is ZERO reason for a Bernie supporter to vote for Chump.

I don't know why but I'm going to bother again.

No liberal Bernie supporter voted for Dump or stayed home -- we all voted for Hillary. But not all Bernie supporters were liberals. There were people who loved Bernie who loved Ron Paul -- 180 degrees different -- before him! There were people who wanted to burn the whole two party system to the ground because they saw it as a cartel used by the rich to carve the rest of us up. Those were the Bernie supporters who jumped to Dump or Stein or stayed home.

Any radical reformer will attract some people who want the substance of the reform and think a radical approach is the best way to get there but also some people who are attracted by the radicalism and don't care about the content. There are people who just want to throw the Molotov cocktail, and if it's for the left today or the right tomorrow that's not a contradiction for them.
