Show me where I endorsed Biden?

I fully agree with you Biden is too "old" but again, it's not the age per se it's the mental health. Biden is teetering on the cusp of dementia, Dump is well over the edge, and Warren is outwitting, outlasting, and outplaying the entire rest of the field whatever their age.

I think this will solidify the Not Bidens around Warren and push Handsome Joe gently off the stage without a big mess.

Hey I hope I am wrong and he recovers super quick and doctors tell him to stay in and he finds a way to win. But what do you think the chances of that are? If you were on his staff right now what would you be telling him? This isnt some feel good movie (being rebooted ;) ) this is real life.

If we're going to start attacking candidates based on their health then it's pretty obvious who's in worse mental shape and it's interesting that all of the attacks get directed at the candidate furthest to the left. It's almost like their reasoning is purely ideological and disingenuous :eek:. Given that this is a relatively normal heart procedure and these candidates have access to the best healthcare I doubt he's going to lose a ton of support from his base. Our country would be better off with him dying in office than any of the current alternatives.

Agreed. We gotta cut trix some slack though this is a gut punch. And it seemingly came out of nowhere. He wants to believe...cant blame him for that.

Politics is perception...and truth is no Dem could get past this unless they were young. It would kill any campaign.

Bernie can still have the impact he wants, he just (most likely) wont do it from the top of the ticket.

In normal times this would be a death knell for his campaign. Is anyone delusional enough to think we still live in normal times?

Would love to have some medical input on this, but it seems the whole idea of having the stents put in is that your heart is healthier afterwards. My mother had a stent (and has a cow valve!) and after a couple weeks of rest was just fine.

Bernie just had heart surgery...I think it is warranted to discuss his health. Just like it is warranted to discuss Biden sundowning after every debate. They are relevant factors as to why neither should run.

Yes, he had heart surgery from some of the best health providers in the world and will probably be fine. It's your awful logic where this necessitates him dropping out that is problematic.

Did your mom run for President? Neither did my dad. Lets not pretend going back to a relatively normal life is the same as spending 14 months campaigning and running in the environment we live in now. You know better than that.

I am sure Bernie is fine health-wise, but you have to admit the odds of him being top of the ticket at this point are long. Fair or not that is the case.

I'm not part of your assault on trix and never understood it. We must all hang together blah blah blah. We have to put our selfish snark habit behind us; it's an acid that burns through our chances. We have to start acting like nothing any other Dem does is anything short of the Beatitudes. We are doctors fighting a cancer. We win or we die; so enough preening by everyone.

We're still 4 months out from anything actually happening and he just pulled in the best fundraising numbers of any candidate despite the average donation being $17. Even Nate Bronze in a tweet from a few years back said that's one of the best signs of a campaign's health and we all know how much you love that guy lol.

Yes, and the Challenger's telemetry was perfect right up until

Obviously Bernie's numbers and strength prior to this have no relationship at all to what they will be afterwards.

I love Bernie. This finishes him.

Yeah my awful logic...as opposed to your genius logic where the 80 year old man who just had heart surgery isnt going to run into issues down the line about it. I mean sure...

By the way it was Kepler who said he should drop out and endorse Warren...I just agreed with him that is the best outcome of this. I just said this was bad for his campaign. If you are going to attack my "awful logic" could you at least not fabricate my points and actually read what was typed. Hell I even said "assuming he is forced out" because who knows what the doctors tell him now or two months from now. I am still not calling for him to resign unless the doctors tell him to.

That doesnt mean I dont think his campaign is on life support though.

Just because the GOP doesn’t give two ****s doesn’t mean we should repeat the same mistakes.

I generally start by doing the opposite of what they did.
