Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers V: Bye Felicia

Yep. Basically Warren has pulled ahead of Sanders nationally and especially in Iowa.

As a devoted Democratic Socialist far to his left and even farther to her left, I hope Bernie understands and picks an advantageous and early time to publicly and enthusiastically throw all his weight behind Warren.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers V: Bye Felicia

My guess is either Warren or Sanders will drop out after the first few states and support the other, which will bury Biden. They have both had softballs tossed to them where they could tee off on each other and both candidates have let the pitch go by. They have been extremely cordial to each other. No doubt they got together before the race, made a non-aggression pact and an agreement of what role the other would have if they won the presidency. You're not going to see a Warren-Sanders or Sanders-Warren ticket. You're going to see something like one becomes president and the other Secretary of the Treasury or something similar. The hitch is that the governor of both states is a Republican and if the Senate is 50/50 neither will be able to nominate the other...

Agreed. Biden will continue his slow bleed through the fall and the holidays, and then Sanders can garrote him with a full-throated endorsement of Warren before Super Tuesday. He'd better not try to pull anything half-arsed this time around.

I agree...but someone should tell the Bernie Bots that. They are none to pleased with Warren. They make her sound like Hillary Part Deux

I am honestly in shock she is doing this well. I figured her being rather in your face all the time would turn people off but apparently not. Further proving that if you want to win you need to NOT act like a Democrat. (see also: Clinton, Hillary and Kerry, John)

Yeah barring every other candidate endorsing Biden (hah not likely) the loser of Warren/Bernie is going to be the person who controls the party's future. If they endorse each other its all over but the shouting. Biden will never have more than Trump level numbers and a combined Warren/Bernie coalition will destroy that.

Then, in the ultimate "Have a Nice Rest at the Home Joe" moment the winner picks Mayor Pete as their Veep and suck up all the Rust Belters and old fogies and make Joe Biden long for Andrew Yang numbers

One of my high school friends who is a Bernie bro out this up today:
Bernie fans want to change the system.
Warren fans want someone to scream at then get to Brunch

Yeah that is the type of stuff I see on Twitter. Then it is followed up with stuff about how on day 1 Saint Bernie of Vermont will change the system and shake up the world! (only partial hyperbole)

I love Bernie...but man some of his supporters are just nails on a chalkboard annoying :)

Not a Good Look

An official at the Working Families Party (WFP) said Friday that he — and many of his fellow staffers — have faced a deluge of violent, racist, and sexist attacks following the progressive group’s endorsement of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.).

“There’s been good faith debate and conversations on the Internet — and I’m here for all of it,” Maurice Mitchell, National Director of the Working Families Party, told Hill.TV. “Public leadership is about public accountability and engaging in those conversations.”

“Also, there has been some of the most violent, disgusting, racist and sexist attacks against myself, against Nelini Stamp — another leader in our party — and many, many of our staff people, every day working people who are trying to make this world better and that’s unacceptable,” he added.

Of course because Bernie isnt Trump he denounced these clowns...but this is the stuff I saw when that story broke about WFP endorsed Warren over Bernie. The responses were closer to Trumper style than anything. Just disgusting and vile...

A Bernie supporter trafficking in misogyny because his candidate didn't win? Why does that sound familiar? ;)

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers V: Bye Felicia

You know what I read on social media yesterday?

"hard to choose...

Bernie, who's been fighting for the working class American his whole life

Or Warren, who was a Republican until she turned 48?"
