2020 Democratic Challengers III: The Wrath of Warren

So you WILL be adding racism to your repertoire of misogyny if your candidate doesn't win! Good to know. :D

You ought to be beaten senseless for comparing Rangle to Cummings but since they're both older blacks I guess every one of them is the same in Kep's view?

We all look the same to a lot of you :(

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers III: The Wrath of Warren

only if kerry's standard of $75k++ still stands

I'm using Kep's standard of "ain't no man worth 50K a year I don't care what he does" + a 95% tax rate on any income over that amount. ;) *

* - I actually lifted that from Married with Children where the Bundy's went to visit Peggy's family in Wanker County. Her brother was berating Peggy and said "you're too used to living in the city with that rich husband of yours. I don't care what he does for a living. Ain't no man worth 3 dollars an hour."

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers III: The Wrath of Warren

I don't think he's gonna qualify for any of the debates unfortunately. I do like that he's one of the few anti-imperialist dems though.

I doubt there are enough grownups in this country for him to get traction. He's fighting against a lifetime of brainwashing by Republicans, Democrats, and corporations. Our entire culture and our media is a superstructure that justifies mass murder by the state in the service of the rich.

But individuals can make a difference. For every Gravel there are literally millions of fools, but at least there is one.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers III: The Wrath of Warren

Biden must figure "it worked for Trump, why can't it work for me?"

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers III: The Wrath of Warren

I'm not big on Joe but to call that "father-son" is ludicrous.

Things are bad enough without mendacity.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers III: The Wrath of Warren

Read the bottom part.

We got things done. He and Amy Klobuchar are both running on the "we can work with the Orcs" platform. Which is impossible. You can't work with them. The only evidence you need of that is Turtle Boy himself. He will **** you over on any deal, any Senate rule, any precedent.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers III: The Wrath of Warren

Yeah the bottom part doesn't read like "father-son" to me it sounds like "son" as a term for younger man and almost as a pejorative much like "boy". This is backed up by the fact that he is talking about having to work with the other side and be civil which was the point of the quote.

"“I was in a caucus with James O. Eastland ... he never called me boy, he always called me son.” He imitated the drawl. “At least there was some civility. We got things done”

Sorry but this is a stretch. I like Shaun King but he does this sometimes. Joe will do plenty of stupid things no need to bend into a pretzel to find some.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers III: The Wrath of Warren

Read the bottom part.

I did. He means he drawled "Now, son..." the way southerners do. Think Foghorn Leghorn. He wasn't saying he was his spiritual son or any BS like that.

Biden is creepy for playing this note, I'll admit that. But the idea that he's claiming to be ball in socket with an Apartheid Confederate is just not borne out by that statement. People need to stop exaggerating. The truth is appalling enough as it is.

You know, you seem like a perfectly reasonable individual when we agree. ;)

I just noticed this in Handy's signature:

"It's as if the Drumpf Administration is made up of the worst and unfunny parts of the Cleveland Browns, Washington Generals, and the alien Mon-Stars from Space Jam."

:D :D :D :D

Oh I get what you're saying now, that makes sense. Either way that part is very much secondary (my guess is SK interpreted it how I did initially).
