The issue is that Republicans are driven by hate and fear. When you're driven by that, you play to the extremes. People who worry that illegal immigrants are taking over the country don't want to hear a wonky economic argument against them. They want their politicians to blame them for every ill under the son, throw them in jail, maybe torture the adults a little, and then kick everyone out of the country.
The counter argument of far lefties is we should be just as extreme from a progressive perspective. The problem is Dems aren't as driven by hate as they tend to be happier most likely due to greater education and success. Advocating confiscatory tax policy to screw the rich six ways to Sunday doesn't drive the same emotions on the left as "screwin' da librals' does on the right. Simply put it won't work as well for Dems because their brains are wired differently.

I don't think you understand how prior conditions work. For example, did it occur to you that a chunk of Bernie voters were protest voters who we lost, and who then rolled over to Dump, when DWS fixed the nom? In other words, votes we never had under the DLC/Clinton regime which we would have had if we had only listened to liberals instead of the same old fraidycat moderates?
When you conflate Democrats who preferred an economic liberal with people who would have given the Democrats a shot if we had a protester like Bernie, you're actually proving EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE of what you and Rover think you are. It would just never occurs to people with a DNC-centric worldview who assume anyone who ever considers voting D owes it to them to vote D.
That is the core of the privilege and entitlement that cost Hillary the election and gave us Dump. So thanks a lot for admitting what you cost the world. It's big of you. You still have much to atone for, but admitting it is the first step.

Why do you keep pretending the nomination was fixed? You are bordering on Flaggy by even hinting at it. Sanders lost on his own they didn't need to rig it.
