Other than RMU looking more impressive getting swept than BU did in going 0-1-1. Not sure why voters flipped OSU and UMD; was the Buckeyes going toe to toe with UW really less than the Bulldogs struggling to pull out a win in the first game vs MSU? I admit that I think the two teams are a toss up at this point, but last weekend didn't shed much light on which is in the lead.

For me, it comes down to having a win over a top five team in Clarkson...

ARM is using the argument he used for USCHO POY last year, OSU didn’t beat the Badgers, but nobody else has either
Toe to toe, I would have expected that from an OSU fan when you get beat 3-0 and 7-3
Then again maybe he was referring to it literally judging from the number of penalties by OSU

You've got a glitch somewhere, because UMD isn't at #8; they are only in the "Others receiving votes" line.

Re: 2019 - 20 Rankings

Somehow, someway, the rodents are closing the gap to UW, they received 2 first place votes this week (had 1 last week). I'd love to know the thoughts of these 2 voters. UW hasn't really given anyone any reason to not vote for them to be #1, and the rodents are not juggernauting their opponents in such a way as to show they are worthy of being #1.

I’m curious- who does the voting and are they supposed to pay attention to women’s hockey? How does Mercyhurst get one more vote than Colgate two weeks after losing and then pulling out a late tie with Colgate. And who is giving one vote to Syracuse when they are 0-7 and not a good team at all? That voter didn’t think any of the schools with multiple wins was more worthy of that vote?

RPI:
#1 MN
#2 NE
#3 WI

cupcake schedule might make stats look impressive, doesn't do much for RPI

Gophers swept RMU which looks like a team that will make the final 8 based on merit while the Badjers beat CHA doormats Lindenwood & PSU
MN sweeping Colgate while WI swept OSU is a push, neither of those teams look as good as last year
MN swept MSU & SCSU while WI swept LIU
MSU & SCSU goalies are very good, so it’s not surprising the results weren’t like WI vs. LIU or even PSU & Lindenwood

For that matter, why would anyone choose Harvard, at 0-0-0? It’s nice a see a confirmation of their potential, believe me, but this is no longer a preseason poll. Here it just looks like six protest votes against half the teams on the list that have actually played games.

Equally as puzzling, IMO, is that one voter has Minn at third.

136 points: (2 x 10) + (12 x 9) + (1 x 8)

Not a lot of change this week, but Harvard earns its first ranking of the season, debuting at No. 9, on the strength of their 6-2 win over previous No. 7 Princeton and their 3-2 overtime victory at Quinnipiac. Meanwhile, BU slips out of the Top 10 despite winning their only game of the week, 2-1 over Providence. They host Yale this evening.

For the first time this season there is no change in this week's Top 10. However after this evening's results that most definitely will not be the case next week.
