What happened late in the 2nd period in the Syracuse/RMU game? Livestats showed Syracuse getting the equalizer to make it 3-3, and now that goal is gone. Was it overturned upon review? Or is livestats wrong and the score is something other than 3-2 Colonials?

I happened to see that. too. The Syracuse 'goal' entry in the play-by-play summary didn't have any assists or 'who was on the ice' type details listed when I saw it, and then it was gone altogether when I looked again. I'm guessing it was a typo and was never a goal in the first place.

Wisconsin 1, U.D 1 six minutes in. Brody took a stupid penalty 30seconds into the game and Toque cashed it in. Brody then beats Campbell five hole on a breakaway with the Dog's first shot.

I thought the Dogs breakaway goal was a bit soft. Good to see WI playing this aggressively in the first period.

Wisconsin 2, UMD 1 after a period. Watts converts her own rebound on a 2-on-1. Both defenses are giving up a lot of good chances.

I'd say maybe 45 seconds. The Bulldogs about four really goodscoringchances, but no sustained pressure. And the Bad gets have been somewhat fortunate on penalty non- calls so far; Mauermann got away with an obvious trip, and Norby played a dropped UMD away from its owner as she tried to recover it.

Good period for UMD but they fall further behind with a bad giveaway in their own zone. 3-1 sinner lead.

I actually thought Duluth dominated the period and outworked Wisconsin. I thought Wisconsin look pretty lethargic.

I thought it split pretty evenly. UMD dominated the second half of the period, but Wisconsin was better for the first ten minutes.

Crowell has made some odd coaching decisions. For instance, Wisconsin committed icing about four minutes into the third. She left the third line out, then brought out the first after a whistle about eight seconds later. If they could come back then, why not when Wisconsin couldn't make a change?
