Minnesota and UMD tied at 2 after two periods. The effort got a lot better as soon as I posted, though UMD's second goal came when four Gophers broke up ice just in time for the only defenseman back to get stripped of the puck. That was equaled by the Bulldogs terrible line change that let Woken score on a 2-on-0 break.

Reading the comments on UM @ UMD, it looks like nobody for either team has done anything well, but instead they're taking turns screwing up. Maybe all of these posts are actually being made by Eeyore? ;)

They would have gotten away with that bad change if Brodt didn't gift wrap a cross ice pass to the Minnesota player who for some unknown reason, actually made a quick transistion pass to Woken who looked like she frose up a bit on the 2-0 break. That however kinda screwed up Rooney so Minnesota kinda got lucky on that. ;)

I imagine Eeyore would have had conniption fit if the Gophers wouldn't have scored on that 2-0 break. :)

I thought that was a nice play by Woken, baiting Rooney into thinking pass, and then beating her five hole.

Other than that bad line change, I think the Bulldogs have played pretty well.

Sarah Potomak scores from in close to put the Gophers up 1-0 half-way through the first.

And 1-0 is the score in Duluth after a period. Minnesotadominated the first 15 minutes, but UMD came back towards the end.

UMD comes back on goals by Linser and Brodt to make it a tie game at 2-2.

Really disappointed in the way that Minnesota gave the lead up. Pass the puck and better yet catch a pass. Seems so simple but for whatever reason this Gopher team is really struggling to do that.
