RIT also lists themselves as the #5 seed. BUT, the CHA weekly recap lists RIT as 4 and PSU as 5th... "Penn State got three points from Lindenwood and is the fifth-seed, losing the tie-breaker of more conference wins to fourth-seeded RIT (but really, all it means is Penn State will wear the road blue sweaters instead of the home white’s)."

So I'm confused...
Grant and TitleIX hockey researched this last year and head to head results between the tied teams was said to be the first tie breaker. If they are correct, they are in agreement with RIT, and the CHA pub is wrong. FWIW the tie breakers according to the tweet from last year are:
1- Head to head results between tied teams
2- Conference wins
3- comparison of results against top two teams
4- comparison of results against top four teams
