This is great news in two ways. Loria is out of baseball, and Jeter's group will probably be incompetent and we won't have to worry about the Marlins as a rival for a decade or so until they move to, uh, let's say Norfolk.

just when you think it can't get any more kitschy... THE BIG MARLIN ON TOP SPINS AROUND! it's the BEST.

I am honestly not being sarcastic. I love that thing. I acknowledge it is unforgivably ugly and every horrible adjective you can throw at it. It was even better seeing it in person.

p.s. no one should be surprised Derek Jeter has no appreciation of whimsy. :p He's probably going to pour bleach in the aquariums when no one's looking.

Wait until you see this ejection out of Angel Hernandez tonight. He ejects Ian Kinsler for looking back at a pitch called a ball.

Angel Hernandez being discriminated against again tonight in Texas. Kinsler and Ausmus thrown out after getting heckled from both teams all night.
