I really think Plattsburgh & Trinity should be reversed. Other than that looks good.

Eeeeyep. My quick-and-dirty comparison has Plattsburgh taking WIN (.848 to .750) and RNK (.500 to .375), while Trinity torches Plattsburgh in SOS (.542 to .507) and wins COP (.714 to .667). Tie, as has been the case time and time again, goes to the team with the much better SOS.

A Williams win over Trinity in the playoffs would help us in that comparison in every category except SOS...

It would be nice to see the NCAA spreadsheets. Raise your hand if you had Buffalo State in your top 10, let alone at #5...

They beat Geneseo twice and tied St. Norbert once. That's it for a resume. The only other games against ranked teams they played was two losses to Plattsburgh. Six losses and 2-3-1 against ranked is good for #5 ahead of the NEHC teams? Would not have guessed that....

Three words....strength of schedule. It doesn't appear RNK is holding as much merit this year.

Norwich, Babson, and UMB all have worse SOS then Plattsburgh. Buff State has a much bigger (positive) SOS gap.

They are also 3-3-1 vs RNK (Utica W). Take out Buff State and Plattsburgh is just 1-3-0 vs RNK.

I have to go through Common Opponents, but the SOS gap is so large is what carrys them up.

Where did you see SOS numbers? The NCAA spreadsheets had a 2011 date on them this morning...

The sheets were there yesterday but went down shortly after the rankings came out. Although not used if you look at KRACH SOS it will give you the idea.

Amazing analysis from Matthew Webb. His bracketology (subject to change of course) shows Augsburg at St. Norbert in the Quarterfinals. If they win the MIAC they get that automatic bid. I haven't heard Augsburg mentioned in the rankings. What are they all about?

They would get the auto bid if they win the conference championship .....no need to be ranked to get the autobid

Not knowing anything about the MIAC but if their champ is not ranked I guess that means they're having a down year or is it a trend? If so, why? Minnesota is the "State of Hockey".
