2016/2017 Lowell Thread: Hoping for Chicago pt 2

Re: 2016/2017 Lowell Thread: Hoping for Chicago pt 2

Strange Brew doesn't open until 4pm. I think they opened up early for the regional last time Lowell was in them, but I doubt they will be open at 10am. It's on my list for post game though.

207 and 208 so that's nice to see. More tickets popped up in the lower bowl too, Section 119 (179 tickets) and diagonally opposite, Section 106 (185 tickets). Must be MN and ND tickets turned back in. More for us! Spread the word.

Bizarre. And now Balcony 207 and 208 are blocked out again, unless they sold out which is doubtful.

The SNHU Arena ticket site also now shows 24 tickets in Section 109 which is a core Lowell section so if anyone is looking from Lowell, grab some there before some other team's fans sneak in! There's also a handful left in Lowell sections 112-114 so anyone looking to be with the Lowell fans and not elsewhere, you still have a few options it looks like.

SNHU-rena ticketing is odd, same as at the VWA. I've been to the box office one day looking for seats in a specific section, told that they section is sold out or not on sale. If the ticket agent is kind, they give me a date to come back. If not, I pick a random date and voila - plenty of seats in my preferred section. That happened last November with regional tix. Returned to the box office 1 - 2 days after my initial visit and purchased Section 120 tickets that were unavailable a day or 2 before.

So there's an extremely outside shot that Kapla could hit 100 points before the end of the season. I'm wouldn't put any money on it, but if they play as well as they have been it's possible.

9 points in at most 4 games... sure, why not

In the 4 years we've played in the tournament under Bazin (so far), we've had our season ended three times by ECAC foes. Just a reminder for those that might be thinking this is going to be easy.

Counterpoint - Lowell has made the regional finals every year under Bazin.

You're move, Monty. :D

Not hockey related but still hilarious:
Report: Pat Kelsey bails on UMass press conference, turns down job at last minute

"ESPN reported Thursday afternoon that Kelsey — who was less than 20 minutes away from the scheduled start of his introductory press conference as Minutemen head coach in Amherst — had a change of heart."

They also had to buyout Kellogg's final two years for a $1M.

Kellogg’s contract stipulates a 50 percent buyout of the two years remaining, meaning UMass will give him about $1 million. Assistant coaches and other staff members who aren’t retained will also be due severance.

your tax $$ at work. Personally, even if I can't stand UMass because I can hold a grudge forever (Mullins Mausoleum was built with the money that was supposed to build our parking garage  ) this seems a horrible waste of $$. Enough to feed people for a long time
