Re: 2016/2016 Lowell Thread: Hoping for Chicago

Soccer moved up to 14th in the coaches poll this week after two more wins last week.

Re: 2016/2016 Lowell Thread: Hoping for Chicago

I know current success is no guarantee for the future, but is there reason to believe they will still be good next season? Or will they be losing some key players?

At bare minimum they are losing their top scorer (Fernandez) and the starting goalie. I am expecting a step back, but they should still be competitive. But I really don't follow college soccer at all.

Starting goalie is a Junior, so I don't see why he'd leave? They do lost Fernandez, and four other seniors. Only two of those others saw real playing time this year, so basically they lose two every-day starters and Fernandez (only started 5 of 12 so far).

They bring back three of their top 5 point getters for next year. They've got a couple of good recruits as well. I don't know if they'll have this type of year next year, but they're building something there.

My mistake, I was going from memory instead of looking it up. I thought I remembered seeing a popup on stream calling him a Senior, but I am mistaken.

#12 in the country heading to Lowell this weekend, along with Clarkson.

Two against #20 next week on the road.

Tough couple of weeks ahead.

The more I realize I don't have leave to take for turkey day and still get xmas the more my thoughts get tortured... who is going up to the Maine game on Veterans Day?

The tortured thinking is to leave D.C. Right after work that Thursday... you know... screw it... I'll leave this post here just so I can vent... my idea can't really work.

I just decided I would take an elongated XMas break through the RPI game so I get three games in. That said I think I will have spent a grand total of 5 days at home this calendar year, and my hours are by no means set in stone.

Stupid Thrashers owner giving up on the Atlanta market...

Re: 2016/2016 Lowell Thread: Hoping for Chicago

So I was wondering if anyone else had thought about other reasons Norm was having Wall split time with Hernberg [other than they were performing the same in practice which seems hard to believe].

I was thinking maybe Wall just isn't ready for the back-to-back night grind in college physically quite yet. He is just 18 (cue BU fanboy ire), maybe his conditioning just isn't quite where it needs to be with the college schedule?
