2015 World Junior Championships

Re: 2015 World Junior Championships

#26 doesn't know where the puck is or his man...that's always a good combo

Re: 2015 World Junior Championships

How is the defenseman putting his stick across the forward driving to the net not an interference/hold/hook/etc.?

But Larkin for goaltender interference. Hot garbage.

Re: 2015 World Junior Championships

Who were the morons who thought Russia wouldn't be a problem?

Freaking deja vu all over again. D*mn, I'm P*ss*d!!

has russia been the problem or the officiating? if it were a case where russia is just skating circles around us, forcing us to take penalties...i would agree with you. then again, if you meant that russia drawing illegitimate penalties would be a problem for us...you're right.

Re: 2015 World Junior Championships

I can't watch it at work. Is it really as bad as the 1972 Olympic basketball finals that the posts here are inferring?

The hi-stick to make it a 5 on 3 was legit. The goaltender interference...wasn't, but I could see how it could be called. Eichel got away with a board, Russians got away with a lot of holds. Every other penalty was ticky-tacky at best. 5 calls to none, and it's not because the Russians are dominating the U.S.

Re: 2015 World Junior Championships

This USA team is just missing something.

Is Eichel playing? I hadn't noticed.

I just did not want to play Russia. Bad thing always happen in recent WJC tournaments when you are playing Russia.

But, there is still 40 minutes of hockey. Plenty of time to turn things around.

Russia isn't really skating circles. They're going down VERY easily.

Re: 2015 World Junior Championships

So when the goaltender is out of the crease, it's interference but when he's in the crease it isn't. God, the officiating against the US sucks more dicks than a porn star.

Re: 2015 World Junior Championships

well, i'd like to be playing slovakia or germany but once you reach the QFs, you're in for a tough road.

Re: 2015 World Junior Championships

Not a good start for the Red White and Blue (wait, aren't those Russian colors too?)

Re: 2015 World Junior Championships

Yes penalties are driving the U.S. into the ground but 5x5 we are the better team...its just that we are going to need at least a solid 10 minutes of 5x5 to establish anything.

If the U.S can stay out of the box, I predict a quick goal in the 2nd and a couple in the 3rd to pull off a 3-2 win.

True, but I'm being selfish here.

I'm supposed to go up on Sunday to cover the final two days. If USA is not there, there is not much to cover...
