2015 World Junior Championships

Re: 2015 World Junior Championships

Good pressure from the Wood, Compher, Haydn line. Couldn't get it goalward but they looked like a speedy grind line.

Fast whistle there. Puck was never covered and went trickling through the five hole and in, but alas, no goal.

Re: 2015 World Junior Championships

Surprised that Dave Starman has been relegated to the intermission interview guy when he's provided the color for the US junior broadcasts for quite sometime.

Guess Danny B has "name" rights?

Wouldn't know; I'm watching the Canadian feed through a site I'm not allowed to mention on here.

The last few years I think EJ Hradek has been doing color and I think Starman was the one person actually at the tournament, so he served the "Pierre McGuire" role.

Re: 2015 World Junior Championships

USA going on the PP, presently perfect.

Milano rings one off the post. Then Schmaltz almost picks one out of the air and in. Finns kill and change.

I thought the US held onto the puck, skating instead of passing, a little too much on that PP, despite the good chances.

Eichel was certainly skating circles out there, but well put, have to open up those chances, especially when their PK team has been out there upwards of 90 seconds.

USA takes a hooking call and Demko makes a couple of saves. Finns to the PP.

Petty move by Honka to draw penalty and then Fins almost score again off a US player. Demko starting to settle in.

Re: 2015 World Junior Championships

Great PK. It was the best Team USA has looked all game. My goodness.

Re: 2015 World Junior Championships

DeAngelo's stick with an unfortunate break but the Finns were unable to capitalize.

And we head to the 2nd intermission knotted at 1.
