2015 World Junior Championships

Re: 2015 World Junior Championships

Everyone who turned off the game, need to go turn it back on.:eek::eek::eek:
Wow...what a crazy game. Russia with 3 in a row to bring it to 5-4 at the end 2. Russia will be on a full 2 minute PP to start the 3rd period.

Re: 2015 World Junior Championships

That's a brutal group for the USA once Canada wins this.

That's probably true (even if Russia wins) but at the same time, I'm reasonably sure the US can still take at least 3rd in that group. And as the Russians (and even the Slovaks) proved, finishing 3rd in your group can still mean big things in the finals. Sure that probably means getting one of Russia, Finland (on home ice) or Canada in the knockout and...wait this initially started as an optimistic post.

Also - Go Russia!

Re: 2015 World Junior Championships

I guess they can win one every six years...

Great game and a lot of fun to watch with no real dog in the fight.

Canada got a way with a few holds in the last 5 minutes or so, but Russia goat away with an interference with about 12 to go. Glad they let them play although the advantage to letting them play goes to the team protecting a lead.

Hopefully the US can put a better TEAM next year.

Sigh...

Go Russia.

Hate to root for them, but the alternative is far, FAR worse,

In addition, it's a lot of fun to watch Canadian fans gnash their teeth and wail when they lose these tourneys. :D

No gnashing of teeth today we will leave that to you this year

Yeah, but I was close to pulling out the AED. Great finish to a great tournament.

To paraphrase Ferraro, Canada vs Russia is never boring!

Congrats!

Enjoy it tonight coz tomorrow the nation resumes gripping about a Canadian based team not winning a Cup in how many years?

:D

Not a fan of Donato's game at all...Was unimpressive when I saw him with the U-18 squad and with the South Shore Kings this year. Doesn't stand out for a second round pick at all.

Re: 2015 World Junior Championships

Chad Krys probably has a good chance to make it since the 96 defense is not good.
