Not that I would ever defend BC's junior league feed but the terrible GIFs were from UNH. I don't know if they were having problems or what but Jesus it was like it was being beamed from the frigging moon

1. Wisconsin - I guess if you score goals against Wisconsin, it could be considered a moral victory.
2. BC - Practicing against the best players every day is making BC bored.
3. Minnesota - This team is a tiny bit flawed right now, but they probably have the most upside of the top three teams.
4. Clarkson - Potential, for me, is what puts them here.
5. Northeastern - The Lindenwold loss is getting further and further in the rear view mirror.
6. Bemidji - Found out that Minnesota can really put some goals on you in a hurry but if they could have skipped the second period on both nights they would have been ok.
7. Harvard - They still seem like they're spinning their wheels trying to get going but top 4 potential is there.
8. North Dakota. On the one hand, have beaten Minnesota. On the other hand, lost to Ohio State.
9. Quinnipiac - This just feels like you put some team's names on a wheel, spin it and presto...It's the Bobcats
10. UMD - Just because they are the only team to score 2 goals on Wisconsin...Moral victory

Here's the right order... just "because" :D

1 Wisconsin - because they are really, really, really good
2 Minnesota - because they are really, really good (and can't wait to see if they take a "really" away from Wisco 12/4 and 12/5)
3 Boston College - because they are really good
4 Northeastern - because they look really good (and might be good enough to "be" really good on 11/28 vs BC)
5 Harvard - because I'm not sure why we're not moving them up (started slow and picking it up like last year too)
6 Bemidji - because I don't penalize any team for losing to #1 and #2 and not losing to anyone else (I ignored the shoot-out loss)
7 Quinnipiac - because they don't put enough pucks in the net to get higher
8 UND - because this could be Clarkson, but UND beat Minnesota
9 Clarkson - because I'm beginning to believe they aren't any higher than this, right now anyway
10 Princeton - because I think they deserve this right now (even though I think MD might be able to beat them)

This sounds like sandbagging but I'm nervous as hell for this game. I think we're going to lose to NU this year.

I liked the reasons in your rankings. Good stuff. I think you're right about Harvard, we're being tentative moving them up for some reason. If they were a stock right now they'd be the first one I would "buy low."

Also I keep forgetting BSU hasn't lost to anyone other than UM and UW.

Bemidji is for real, but I'm not sure they're capable of beating any of the top three teams if the Gophers are serious about not taking them lightly anymore. They play hard every shift and they at least have an idea of how to score more than in previous seasons, but they're not that good at executing those ideas. I think they're a high floor/low ceiling kind of team, and where you rank them depends a lot upon how you view that kind of team. Having a high floor and not losing to the teams below you is something that I rate highly, and I rank Bemidji accordingly. If what you really want to see is a team capable of a big upset and don't worry about them figuring out how to tie St. Cloud, then UND would be your third best WCHA team.

Not really sure why UND typically seems to have such a high ceiling yet low floor.
