Lindenwood has just scored on the PP. 2-1 Minnesota Duluth in the 2nd.

Out in California, Wisconsin and Providence are tied 1-1 after one.

Trying to figure out if Ohio State got called for a 5-minute checking-from-behind major penalty but without the associated game misconduct, or if said misconduct just didn't get recorded in the box score.

Regardless, Ohio State defeated Lindenwood, 5-1, in a very penalty-filled affair.

She booked her flight to Columbus to start the semester on US Airways and she's still stuck in the St. Louis airport.

BC 4, UMD 2. Carp with a hat trick.

I won't know how I feel about this series until I see how good UMD is down the line. I'm not sure if this was a good series or not. I'm inclined to think BC didn't play that great.

UMD graduated three defensemen, so those teams are often vulnerable, particularly early. The Bulldogs played their freshman goalie today, who played HS boys hockey last year and is well regarded, so if she turns out to be great, it is probably okay. My early guess is that the Eagles aren't quite as OMG dominant as last season offensively. Still, it's just opening weekend, and I doubt they lose at home all season.

The WCHA heads east and did quite well. Outside of the BC/UMD series, six road sweeps and an MSU split. Can't hurt the PWR.

Technically, Ohio State headed west.
