One thing to give up a shorty to a guy on a breakaway, but give up a shorty to the second guy on a rebound? I don't think Lundquist was mad at himself when he tried to break his stick on the crossbar.

I kinda wish someone would pay me $7.8 million to not produce in the playoffs.

And they will pay every penny of it. No one is trading for that contract after his last couple of seasons in New York. Do the Rangers have a compliance buyout left, or did Sather blow both his already?

Game 5 - c'mon Fleury, we all know your inner derp is still lurking. Just a matter of whether it rears its ugly head sooner or later.

They have one remaining, but the rumor is they're going to use it on Richards. Both are awful contracts.

As tempting as it is to use on Nash, it would be wiser to get rid of Richards contract simply because I think it runs forever (2020). One the good side at least MSL only has one more year to be awful! :) The highlight of the end of the season will be the end (hopefully) of seeing Brassard and Boyle in the blue and (hopefully) some young players taking their spots next season.

I was reminded by Brooks in his NY Post column, when (if...Ha!) the Rangers bow out to the birds, then at least they will keep this year's first round draft pick. :) Of course Sather and Co. will probably bungle it and get someone worthless.
